Chatper 19: Curry Leaf

"Yeah there's no mistaking it..." Soma said looking down.

Soma childishly pointed his finger at Asahi. "You! 'Here you go!' is mine! Do me a favor and stop copyin' me!" Soma yelled.

"And you served the exact same dish too. Did ya trace me or something?" Soma asked.

"Trace? Whaddaya mean? If that's something like Yoru's flash; sorry kid, I don't do that." Asahi replied while wiping his knife.

"Woah! Yoru-senpai knows flash too?" Soma asked amazed. Your gaze turned to the pot in front of you, you took a plate and started designing your dish.

"I don't think that's amazing you know." you scoffed making Soma laugh.

"Mi amor~ Here you go~" Asahi said as he served his dish to you.

"Thank you, A-- Suzuki." you replied slightly removing your mask. Soma was about to steal a glance but was cut off by Asahi.

"My dish is in a completely different dimension of deliciousness. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself." Asahi said while silently belittling Soma and Megumi.

While they were in a fierce staring battle you started eating Asahi's dish. Megumi let out a satisfied moan as Soma groaned trying to resist.

"This deliciousness really is in another dimension." Soma said as he crouched down. You grinned half-ly satisfied by Asahi's dish.

"What? Not gonna happen. Don't tell me you're not going to taste my dish?" you asked and opened the lid of your dish.

The smell of the different spices you had used enveloped the whole room. Their stomachs growled when they saw your perfectly cooked tonkatsu.

'W-What is this?'

'Soma-kun's dish was lacking compared to Suzuki-sensei's dish. We were completely overwhelmed but Senpai's dish--.'

'Does this mean Yoru-senpai's inferior than Suzuki-sensei?' they both thought as they gulped.

"It's Pork Tonkatsu Curry Rice!" you said smugly making them sweat-drop.

"I somehow think, Yoru-senpai's related with Soma-kun now." Megumi said making you laugh.

Asahi's stomach growled and the sleeping Erina was awaken by the smell of the dish. You laughed at Asahi who was blushing and gave him a plate of your dish.

"Good morning sleeping goddess." you said grinning. "Well then *yoku taberu." you gave her a plate of your dish after saying your tagline.

She knew who that person is, even with her wearing a mask. Erina knew that you were the only one who could tease her to this extent. Erina looked at you with her blushing face as she took the chopsticks.

"I-Itadakimasu." Erina said and everyone watched as she took a bite.

A loud 'crunch' was heard causing them to gulp. Erina after chewing a bit, huffed few airs and let out a satisfied moan.

'E-Eh? Yoru-senpai? Made Nakiri-san-?' Megumi thought confused. Soma was frozen on his place before taking a bite of the tonkatsu, Megumi did the same and as for Asahi he was quietly eating your dish.

'(Y/N)-chan... I missed this... Thank you for coming back...'

'(Y/N)... Why do I feel like you're getting farther away from my reach?'

{ In their perspective,

Erina and Asahi were surprised to find themselves inside a large peaceful villa. A long black elegant table was in the middle of the garden. By then, a masked butler and maid approached both of them and helped them sit on both ends of the table.

Erina looked around and saw the different flowers she loves lined up perfectly. Both Asahi and Erina were enjoying their peaceful environment until someone disrupted it.

(Y/N) came in wearing a black yukata while holding five different kinds of fan. (Y/N) inhaled before swinging the first fan, this made an impact to both Asahi and Erina. They held tightly on to their chair for the smell of the curry spices were too heavenly for them to handle; they thought that they were going to be blown away.

The two haven't recovered yet but (Y/N) swung the second fan, the long table was blown away causing Erina and Asahi to clutch on to their chairs. By then, some tiny vegetables dancing around entered the scene. A crunch was heard in every step the chibi vegetables took and the sweet natural smell of it made both Erina and Asahi's mouth water.

Still not satisfied, (Y/N) swung the third fan as Erina and Asahi covered their eyes. The smell of the butter, onions and garlic were enough to make the both of them weak.

(Y/N) swung the fourth fan and the sizzling of the hot oil could be heard, they could feel the crunchiness of the tonkatsu that made them beg for more.

'T... This is torture!' both of them thought while crouching on the ground. They looked up and saw that there was a fan left, "N-No more but, I want more."

On cue, (Y/N) swung the fan causing them to smell the key ingredient. 'A fresh Curry leaf?'

Asahi and Erina managed to recover from the first bite as they stared at you while you were packing some of your dish in a container. Erina was surprised when her gifting disrobed Soma and Megumi.

Soma and Megumi on the other hand were still not recovering. Not even knowing that their clothes were scattered on the floor and were only left in their undies.

'I feel warm and somehow gentle... This is weird... Only two people could make me feel this way... Mom and her.'

'Yoru-senpai's dish was simple yet it had a lot impact on me. Just like how that girl made impact on my life.'

'This heart-warming dish reminds us of that girl.'

'But... Who?'

- Is used in many dishes in the Indian subcontinent.

- It only grows in tropical places so it's hard to find fresh curry leaves in Japan.
