"Princess?" She didn't recognize him.  She glared up at the male, nearly attacking him before she settled on her knees.  Her hair covered her eyes, preventing her from seeing him completely and it almost frightened her.  His voice was any more familiar—it was foreign and she was nearly scared.

"Princess Azula, is that really you?"

She snarled at him, watching as his feet shifted.  He backed away and kneeled to her level, watching her as she shifted to crouch on her feet.  He crawled forward a bit, maybe seven feet away from her.  "How did you get here?"

She didn't answer him, now more nervous to answer.  He was only here to question her.  He stood and folded his hands behind his back, taking one step back.  Azula watched as he turned to leave before she cried out.  "You're leaving?!  Just like everyone else?!"

He turned to see Azula on the ground, in tears.  Her forehead against the floor, she hiccuped and choked on her sobs.  Hands wrapped around her and lifted her into a hug, her limp body now in the male's arms.

"Let go of me."

"I don't think so."

————

He kept coming back.  He now sat across from her.  Azula glared at him from her own chair, arms locked in the straitjacket and the armor tied to the chair.  He had returned everyday for nearly three weeks, without fail.  She watched the male as he sipped his tea, enjoying the hot drink and offering her some.  Everytime he did, though, Azula would growl and turn her face away from him.

"You can't ignore me.  I've seen you cry."  Azula growled once again and kept her head turned to the left, ignoring the male further.  He sighed and stood, making Azula look to him.  "I'll see you tomorrow, Azula."

"What's your name?"  She demanded an answer.  She hasn't known for the three weeks he had been visiting.  She would ask, but he would be forced to leave before he could answer.  She understood how he knew her name—she was the Fire Princess.  Destined Firelord.  Azula didn't recognize him, though—he wasn't familiar.  He didn't look like any passing face she had seen—he looked normal.  Or not; whatever normal was, actually, Azula didn't know.

"(Y/N)."  That's all he left her with before he exited.

————

He hadn't returned for three days.  When he finally entered, Azula hid her pleasure from him by looking at the ground.  He sat on the floor with her legs crossed, leaning over and smiling at the girl.  She stared at him with no expression—her way of hiding the glee.

"You're back."

"Sorry it took so long, Princess.  I had a bit of business that needed tending to, but I had to see you before I was completely gone."

Her head rose and her eyes widened.  She gaped at the male in front of her, her emotionless facade collapsing in a matter of just one word.  "Gone?"

(Y/N)'s lips quirked upward and he sat up, standing and approaching Azula.  He crouched in front of her, taking her cheek in his hand.  "Don't worry, Princess.  I'll be back in a few more days.  I just have to leave to the North Water Tribe."
