"You sure that you are not going to chop my head and bury me in this eerily dark jungle." I asked while following him to God knows where.
"Sounds tempting but I am not so inclined to cadavers." he replied without looking back at me.
We were on our way back but rudra stopped the car in the middle of nowhere. I asked the reason so he told me he has to show me his fun side and asked me to follow him. I was unsure at first but then I gave in when he teased me of being a wuss. I am certainly not that and I trust him. He maybe a jerk but I know that he cares for me too.
Trust. A value that can break you or make you, depending on the people whom you give that.
We have been walking for 10 minutes and I could still not see where is he taking me. All I can see was the trees around us.
"We are almost there." I heard him say. I was definitely tired and was not in a position to talk much but he looked excited for this so I didn't tell him to just drive back. I can see he is finally opening up and smiling a little more. I am still unaware of the things that broke him but he is trying to co-op with it. I can see that in his eyes. He is trying to come out of that darkness.
"Okay. we are here." He said and I looked up in front of me.
We were standing in front of a water fall. It wasn't a big one but it was so beautiful. The moon was shining above us and it was reflecting in the water. There was a mild cold breeze in the air and the sound of water falling cut that eerie silence of woods. The place was very tranquil and beautiful . It was a scene for sore eyes.
The beauty of nature is truly bounty less.
"So. What do you say." I heard him ask but I was lost in the beauty and didn't wanted to look away even for a fraction of second. I just kept admiring the beauty in front of me and didn't answer his question.
"By the look on your face, It's safe to say you like it."
"This place is very very beautiful." I finally answered and looked at him. He was looking at me intently then smiled a little when I turned to him.
"indeed it is." He said and sat on one of the rocks . "I feel very calm whenever we used to visit here."
"Why stopped visiting then." I prompt and waited for him to say something rude to shut me off as this seems to be something related to the reason why he is hurt.
"Shall we eat first before talking. I am famished." He said to my surprise.
He is not avoiding it anymore. That's a good sign.
I smiled and nodded. We both sat down on the ground. I opened our food parcel . Now I know why we didn't eat in the Dhaba. We ate in silence and enjoyed the tranquility that surrounded us.
After eating we discarded all the packets in the nearby Dust bin. I walked to the edge of the field and sat hanging my foot and dipped them in water. It was cold. I kept looking at the moon admiring the calmness that he gives and how he guides a traveler at night. It represents the happiness for me.
Things never represents the happiness or loneliness. It's our own heart which made us look at them that way. In a heart of a lover, moon is epitome of romance while at the same time for a broken soul it's sign of his loneliness.
Rudra came from behind and sat bedside me. "What are you staring at."
"The beauty of the moon. How peaceful and calm it is."
