The Dancing Tale

Chapter 7

"What should we do now. No one is paying attention because of their shopping spree." One of my batch mate said. I looked around the mass of people which was passing from in front of us but hardly noticing our big banner.

Right now we are at the shopping mall to promote the new restaurant that has opening in next 3 days. It was a task given to us in our marketing campaign. I need this campaign to be a success because that will earn us extra point which will increase my chance of getting selected for the competition organized by Reliance group. I am looking forward to that competition.

Think prakriti think.

"Okay. I have an idea. It may sound bad but that probably work." I said when I figured a way to get their attention.

"Say fast. We don't have all day." Rudra muttered. Kabir berate him but I ignored them and looked at others. "We can entertain them to get their attention."

"And exactly how you plan to do this?" Divyansh asked.

"We will dance." They looked at me like I have lost my senses. "What." I asked.

"We are doing marketing here darling. Not making dance India dance." Divyansh said.

"Yes. And I don't even know how to dance." Bansita said. She is one of my classmate too but she is in different section. This girl has problem with everything.

"And to do a group dance, it requires preparation. Without it we will probably look like bunch of people dancing in barat." somebody else said.

"That will be a total disaster."

Some other added their point in how my idea is not at all good for this situation.

"Okay. Everybody shut up." Suddenly rudra yelled. "Let her explain her plan."

I was shocked by sudden support of rudra but soon get over it because for now the priority is something else. But I gave him a nod of appreciation.

"Yes. Speak darling." Divyansh said. I took a deep breath before explaining my plan.

"we don't need to be in perfect sync. Just a small effort will do. In between all of the us whoever is good at dancing will perform solo. This will definitely bring their attention to us. If we can manage to do a duo or group dance together that will be very great. And at last, when we will be sure that we have gathered enough crowd then all of us will come on stage and dance together. It is easy though. One will lead at the front and do the set of steps once then others will try to imitate it. So in this way it won't look distorted. "

Everybody had that thoughtful look when I finished explaining. I saw kabir smiled.

"That's a great plan prakriti. Guys I say we can do this. If anybody has better Idea than this, say it now or else we are following it and prakriti will lead it." Kabir said.

He and I only had few encounters but he seems nice. Totally different from his best friend.

" Wait. I didn't say anything about leading. "

"But most of us are non dancers here and you must be knowing how to dance well because you suggested it." Rudra said. I eyed him.

"Okay cool. So it is decided. Let's get started." Divyansh said and hold my hand. I looked at him and smiled. We walked to a corner away from our group till the time others arrange the music player and more speakers. It brought us 10 minutes of privacy.

"Hmm. Isn't it bad to flirt with your junior when others are working." I teased him when we were away from the group.

"I think I deserve some time with her as I  hadn't got any chance to talk to her today. Don't you think."
