"Is this seat taken?"

I turned my head to my left to see the person who asked me this question. A smile spread on my face when I saw he is the same guy who winked at me in the hallways today morning. I eyed him from head to toe. He definitely looks hot.

But the question is why is he approaching me. Guys like him have many open invitations to entertain them self. I looked around the canteen and I noticed there are many vacant seats.

"Trust me I am not a plunderer. Though I tend to stole heart but you can relax because you have already gave it to me." He said cockily. I raised my eyebrows at him in amusement.

"I would gladly like to render you the reality check and a tiny piece of my great mind to understand that I am not at all wooed by you but I am running short of time." I replied smiling and get off my seat. "And yes the seat is all yours. I have more important work to do than thinking of way to approach a girl to woo her. "

"Sassy. Aren't we sweetheart." He said with a smirk. I shrugged.

"people call it sass but I like to call it insult beyond their intelligence level." I commented.

"Woah. You have daring to talk to a senior like that. I am impressed." he replied.

"Ahh look that. You mentioning yourself as my senior to impress me. Try harder boy." I said.

"Kri come." I heard my name being shouted from a little far. I saw Priya being the one to do it. She was standing in front of the exit of canteen. I nodded at her and made my way.

"You can at least tell me your name as reward for surviving your intelligent insults." I heard him saying from behind. I smiled.

"Prakriti Mittal." I said without even turning to him. Priya looked at me smirking but I signed her to keep moving. This is the best thing happen to me today.

"My girl got a new admirer." She said when we were out of the canteen.

"And I might want him to try to catch me. " I said and we both laughed.

"That's good. Don't be an easy catch though." She said. I shake my head laughing. We reached to our class and the rest of the day went in attending class.

When we were done with college, I bid my byes to Priya and walked exited the building. I walked with a scowl to the usual parking place where rudra parks his car. I don't want to be with that guy in one single room let alone in the car. I am still pissed off at him. I don't understand what I did in this world to get that treatment from him. He is very infuriating.

When i was about to get inside the car I noticed divyansh waving at me. I chuckled but waved back. I sat on the passenger seat without giving rudra a single glance and didn't say anything to him. He started driving the car and didn't say anything too. I don't know why but a tiny part of me positive that that he will apologize but he didn't even said a single word. I sighed and get out of the car when we reached home and shut the door forcefully to let out some of my frustration.

He is definitely not inherited with his parent's etiquettes and manners.

I walked in the room and got started with my assignments and homework. I need to get done with it because I need to visit the kids. I love teaching kids and I always try to give as much time as I can to those who are not blessed with these luxuries of life. I was looking for an orphanage 1st and asked Rahul uncle that if he has any idea of it. He told me about the slums. So today I am going to visit it. It is just 10 minutes walk away from here.

*************

"You seriously have issues with your eyes. Go get them checked." I heard the voice that I never want to hear.

It's Sunday today and I promised the kids to spend my half day with them as I didn't have much study to do. But I got carried away with my relaxing shower and now I am 30 minutes late. I was climbing down the stairs in hurry when I again bumped into rudra and fell hard on my butt. And right now I am on the floor wincing in pain.

"If yours are better than don't forget to use them from next time so I you won't get bumped into me." I replied. He sighed and gave me a hand to get up. I didn't thought much and took it and got up. I looked up at him and he was looking as usual stoic but something told me that he wants to say something. But I didn't give it much thought and I again started climbing down the stairs.

"Listen." I heard his voice when I was half way down the 1st floor. I turned my head and looked at him. He just kept looking at me like I can read what is going inside his head.

"I have more important place to be so please say it fast whatever you want to say." I told him.

"I am sorry." He said and looked away from me. I was dumbfounded for a minute. Is he really apologizing? It didn't sound like an apology, more like a command but still it is an apology.

"For when." I asked. He turned his face again at me and scoffed.

"The only time I think I did something for which I need to apologize is the incident that happened in class. That's it." He said.

See. He made it sound like he is doing a favor on me.

"I can argue with that I have somewhere else to be. But it's okay. The apology was suppose to be sincere but it was coming from you so what can I expect. You are snobby and....."

"You have to go. Right. Do me a favour and go. You probably won't want your boyfriend divyansh to wait for you." he cut me off in the middle. I didn't try to correct him because people assume what they want to believe and I only give any justification to the people whom I think are close to me. So I just nod at him and left.

A wide smile settled on my face when I reach the slums and all the kids engulfed me in the hug. They reach only to my waist but they are just so cute. I wrapped my arms around them. They remind me of my 11 years old cousins.

"Hello my hippies." I said laughing.

"hello Didi." they all said. Then I separate myself from them and we began with the class. They all seem so keen to learn whatever I teach them. That's the irony of our country.

People with means are finding the ways to run away from the studies and whole have paucity of it money want to learn and study.

I make kids mother's also join us in the class because I believe if the mother is educated than the child will be more educated and learned. The ladies were also very intrigued by my proposal. At first they were shy and afraid but then they comply to it. They are very friendly too. Some are of my age and some are even younger than me, married at young age l because of the pressure of the family or because of the lack of the money.

Listening their stories made me realize how lucky I am for getting opportunity to study and pursue my dreams.

After 3 hours of intensive study decided to call it a day. Then I played games with kids like hide and seek, pitthu and many others. Then I  decided to give them an ice cream treat. I took them with me to the shop. I bought the ice creams and we started munching on it. After that I walked them to their home.

Their smiles makes me feel so happy and alive. It makes me feel like I am doing something meaningful with my life.

It's definitely one the most well spent day in this city.
