Chapter 23: Angel (Bella's POV)
I straightened the last section of my hair before running my fingers through it and then unplugging the flat iron. I sighed and then went outside and grabbed the dress, changing quickly. I sat down to slip my heels on when there was a knock.
"Who is it?" I called out, knowing already it was Noah.
"The devil!" he answered.
"Give me two seconds!" I laughed. I quickly pulled on my heels, grabbed my purse which was already packed to go, and sprayed some perfume on. I speed walked to the door and pulled it open. "Holy shit," I mumbled under my breath.
"I'm here to pick up my angel," he smirked.
I cleared my throat, forcing myself out of it. "Hi," I cleared my throat.
"Hi," he grinned.
"You look amazing," I chuckled.
"Thanks, you look really beautiful," he replied.
"Thanks," I smiled.
"Shall we?" he asked, holding his hand out. I placed my hand in his and he led us to the elevator which we used to get down to the lobby and then had Mr. Jenkins drop us off at the restaurant.
"Pick up?" he asked.
"No pick-up tonight, Mr. Jenkins, goodnight," Noah sang.
"Enjoy yourselves," he smiled before driving back.
We entered the restaurant and he walked up to the front. "A reservation under Noah Hudson, please?" he asked politely.
"Right this way," the waiter smiled, leading us to our table.
Noah pulled out my chair for me before sitting on his own. I then realized what he called me earlier. "You called me your angel?" I frowned in confusion.
"What?" he laughed.
"Back at the hotel. You called me your angel, right?" I chuckled.
He nodded, "Yeah, so?"
"Nothing, I just didn't realize it when you said it," I shook my head, smiling.
"Yeah, you were gawking at me," he smirked.
I rolled my eyes before skimming through the menu. "You look good," I shrugged.
"You look stunning," he retorted. We then placed our orders and while we waited, we got to talking. "I feel like I don't know enough about my girlfriend. Tell me more about you," he nodded.
"What do you wanna know?" I replied.
"Start from the beginning. Childhood maybe?" he shrugged.
I nodded, "Okay," I leaned back. "Um- I did ballet." His eyebrows perked up in surprise. "And I left after six months because I realized how much I hated it." He grinned. "I did photography for two years, worked for our yearbook team but then that got boring too," I rolled my eyes.
"I remember seeing you taking pictures at games," he said, "I thought you were obsessed with me or something," he smirked.
"Sure you did," I laughed. "Hmm, what else? I used to draw, I took art up until sophomore year, then that became way too difficult, I can't paint for my life. I used to swim competitively up until sixth grade, I used to run track up until fifth grade. My dad wanted me to try soccer but team sports aren't really my thing," I shrugged.
"Oh?" His eyebrow quirked up.
"I like playing for myself, I don't like working with or for other people."
