Chapter 10

Jaehyun's POV

"So, what do you say we play a game to decide the rooming?" Johnny suggests, a glint of excitement in his eyes.

"I mean, sure, why not?" I agree.

"Let's just draw papers," Ten suggests, wiggling his eyebrows mischievously. I just nod and go along with the flow. Kayla gets up and runs down the stairs.

A few minutes later, she comes back with a shoe box, a pad of sticky notes, and a pen. She immediately starts writing down names at superspeed. Even I'm surprised.

"What? I'm an NCTzen!" Kayla says after a few seconds. I'm still shocked. Are all NCTzens like this? Wow, I didn't know that it was possible to write names that fast... Respect.

"Should we just do, like, room leaders? And they can just draw out of the box," Lucas suggests.

"Sure! Who are the 4 leaders going to be?" Taeyong asks, looking around. I roll my eyes.

"Gee, I wonder who one of the leaders is going to be, Taeyong," I mutter sarcasitically.

"Alright! One of the leaders is going to be... Taeyong!" Haechan announces in his best reporter voice. He's so... extra. Taeyong just nods.

"I think we should put Kun in charge of a room," Hendery offers.

"Great idea. If Taeyong and Kun ended up in the same room, we wouldn't have any major clean freaks to clean up after us!" Yangyang exclaims dramatically, making Kun sigh.

We quickly decide that Doyoung should be another leader, since he's good at nagging. I start to space out on the conversation.

"And, you know, I think that least leader should be Jaehyun," Yuta suggests out of the blue. I jolt in surprise when my name is mentioned. I also notice the corners of Kayla's lips creeping up.

"What, Kayla?" Jaemin asks, also noticing.

"What? Uh, nothing. I just found it funny that you're putting one of the 10th floor members in charge of a room," she responds, laughing.

"Still, I think you'd be a great leader," she adds quickly. I nod passively.

"Okay! Let's get it!" Mark exclaims, hyping us all up over a game to decide rooming.

The four of us - Taeyong, Kun, Doyoung, and I - quickly do rock paper scissors. I somehow win. Taeyong gets second, Kun comes in third, and Doyoung's going to be last.

"Alright!" I say, walking up to the box. Everyone starts drumrolling. I close my eyes and take out a slip of paper and hold it up. "It's... Winwin!" Winwin grins and jumps up to sit with me. I'm very happy with my first pick.

Next is Taeyong. He gets Jisung, which he seems very happy about. 

Then Kun goes. "I got.. YANGYANG?!?" he cries in disbelief. "Out of 17 whole people, YANGYANG?" Yangyang starts laughing. Maybe Kun's had enough of Yangyang already. I zone out and start playing with the sleeves of my T-shirt.

"NO!!!!!!" I hear someone shout a few seconds later, drawing my attention to Yuta. Apparently, Doyoung got him. I quickly figure out that he's upset about not being able to stay in the same room as Winwin. Haha, I get Winwin this time!

A few minutes later, the rooms are settled. 

I get Winwin, Chenle, Sungchan, Jaemin, Jungwoo, and Taeil. A pretty good combination, if you ask me. We're staying in the other room that Kayla said there was, on the third floor. I think. This house is so big, I'm having trouble remembering where stuff is.

Taeyong gets Jisung, Xiaojun, Jeno, Ten, Mark, Johnny, and Shotaro. They're staying in Kayla's room. Good luck to Taeyong, with 7 children in his room. We were debating over who got the last member, and Taeyong offered to take him.

Kun gets Yangyang, Renjun, and Lucas. I feel kinda bad for him, with both Yangyang and Lucas, but he'll survive. Plus, it's not my problem. Anyways, they're staying in one of the guest rooms.

Doyoung gets Yuta, Haechan, and Hendery. And they'll be staying in the second guest room.

Kayla checks the time on her phone. "Well, it's already 2:00. I think we should clean up the table," she suggests. I totally forgot that we left all the dishes out... 

Well, I guess we should clean up first. I wonder what's going to happen next.
