Jaemin's POV
Look at our Chenle, using his brain. He's so cool. We can't hold the concert anymore. Still, I'm surprised nobody thought about that until now. (author's fault lol)
"Well, okay. We can start making preparations right now, if you all want," Kayla suggests, pacing about in the room as if it's impossible for her to stay still and rest for a second. Does she drink coffee? I doubt it.
"Wow, Kayla, you sure do move fast," I comment truthfully. "But let's do it."
"So, we need a good stage area," Jeno starts, taking a seat on the clean wooden floor. Next to him, Taeyong once again grabs his phone to take notes again.
"We also have a lot of technical stuff we need to take care of," Hendery adds.
"Yeah, Beyond Live isn't easy to handle," Xiaojun warns, but Kayla looks unfazed by the challenge. What kind of stuff does she do? Make meme songs all the time? I doubt it.
"And then possibly just matching outfits or something," Johnny suggests.
"We should probably film a behind the scenes," Renjun adds.
"Why?" Haechan asks.
"We always film behind the scenes. If we don't, it'll be extremely suspicious, obviously," Renjun replies, rolling his eyes sassily.
"At least an online concert is easier to handle than an in-person concert," Winwin says cheerfully, and everyone agrees with him. Who could disagree with Dong Sicheng?
"Alright, we should get started. This takes quite a bit of work," Kayla suggests. We all stand up. I mentally prepare myself for the work that is to come.
"Where should we hold the concert? I think one of the bedrooms would work fine as a stage," she continues, leading us up the stairs.
"I think that's a great idea," Taeyong compliments, nodding his head thoughtfully.
"Actually, I have an idea..." Jisung trails off.
"Yea?" I prompt him.
"I've always wanted to do an outdoor concert," he explains nervously. "Like, only if the weather and technology worked."
"I think that's a great idea, Jisung," Kayla praises supportively, stopping to send him a smile.
"I agree. If the weather permits, I'd also like to try an outdoor concert. I'm tired of being stuck inside a room all day," Taeyong agrees. We decide to set up a indoor stage just in case, as well as an outdoor stage.
Taeyong's phone pings again, and we all stop walking to hear the announcement. "Concert is on Beyond Live tomorrow, in the morning at 9 am, and we have to do everything ourselves" he announces. Morning? Interesting time.
"Let's do it. We still have like 2 hours until we have to start dinner," Kayla suggests. I brace myself for a whole lot of work. Actually, on a second thought, it shouldn't take too long with 24 people.
"Let's start the indoor stage first," Taeyong suggests, and we all stampede up the rest of the stairs to get to the third floor.
"Let's clear the furniture first," Kayla decides.
We immediately get to work. Us Dreamies get to work packing up the beds, while the others move everything else in the room.
"Let's leave this stuff in the attic for tonight," Kayla suggests, opening the door. With only a little bit of trouble, we manage to turn the mattress and bed frame sideways so it fits through the door.
In the elevator, I look at all of the buttons and notice that there's one that's labeled "Attic", above some labeled as 3, 2, 1, and "B". After Mark makes sure that "Attic" is the right one, I push on the button, and the doors slide closed as we start moving up.
When the doors slide open, I see that we're in a huge, open floor area sloping down on the ends, with some furniture and boxes along the wall opposite to the elevator.
We leave the mattress and bed frame on the right side of the attic. Wow, this place is surprisingly clean, considering that there is a lot of dust and stuff that should be here. Whoever cleaned this must be very professional.
After Chenle and Jisung come out of the elevator, struggling with the trundle, we all return to the third floor and fine a line of people waiting to go up to the attic.
By the time we get back to the room, all of the furniture is gone, and Kayla is starting to take down the posters. We rush to help her.
This actually isn't taking as long as I expected it to.
