Lucas' POV
This concert is going so well! Having outdoor concerts is so refreshing. I'd like to do this more often.
As I'm in the middle of performing, I see Kayla observing the sky with a worried expression. What's going on?
I change my position, moving to the back of the group for our choreography. I sneak a glance at the sky, needing to know the situation. Uh oh.
Dark clouds hover close by, threatening to pour rain down on all of us to ruin the concert. This was unplanned.
Out of the corner of my eye, I notice Kayla and the others grabbing equipment, passing it to each other through a chain.
I can only hope they have a good plan.
Within a few minutes, the dark clouds are hovering right above us. The lighting has significantly changed for the worse, and I know some fans are starting to notice it.
As soon as our performance ends, I rush to help the rest of the members and Kayla transfer everything indoors.
"What's going on?" I question, easily picking up a heavy speaker and handing it to Kayla.
"We're moving up to my room. I'll ask Taeyong to call some kind of break while we move the camera upstairs," she responds, passing the speaker to Xiaojun.
"Okay," I reply, deciding to just go with the plan. I throw myself into the chain of people, grabbing anything that is passed to me and shoving it at someone else.
This is a whole new level of chaotic.
Speaking of chaotic, I wonder what's going up on the third floor. "Hey, are there people setting all of this up inside?" I ask Winwin, taking a wrapped up cord from him.
"Kun is in charge up there," he answers. I sigh in relief, glad that at least someone responsible is up there.
"Alright, Czennies. We're halfway through our concert now! Unfortunately, we are going to have to take a midway break for a few minutes to recharge quickly, okay? We'll see you soon!" Taeyong announces, waving to the camera and acting like nothing is wrong.
I watch as Kayla puts a cap on the camera lens and turns the audio of the Beyond Live off. Picking up the camera stand, she hurries into the house, probably on her way upstairs.
"Come on, we're almost done!" I encourage everyone, panting from both nervousness and fatigue. I don't think I'll ever look at rain clouds the same ever again.
"Alright, let's go!" Taeyong calls, rushing us all through the door. Sure enough, the backyard is now cleared. I take the stairs three at a time, hoping with all of my heart that everything is good up there.
"Come on!" I hear the voice of a stressed Kun as I burst through the door, ready to get to work again.
To my surprise, everything is already set up. Kun is stationed at the closet door, telling people if they look camera ready or not.
I race into the closet and crowd around the mirror, seeing that everyone else is in here, fixing their hair or clothes. I take a look at myself over the heads of the group. I look good, as always.
After getting Kun's approval, I get into position for the next song. I smile in relief, seeing that only 2 minutes have passed. Wow.
A minute later, Kayla starts everything up again. Kun shushes everyone, then joins us on stage for the performance.
"Alright, Czennies! Thank you for your patience! We are rested up and ready to resume our concert!" Taeyong announces, slipping behind the camera.
Kayla starts the music, and then we're back into it.
~Time Skip~
"Thank you for coming to our Beyond Live concert, Czennies!" Taeyong thanks the fans, and then we all chant, "To the world, we are NCT! Thank you for coming!"
And with that, we end the concert. That was one of the best experiences of my life. It was stressful at times, but in my opinion, it was such a rewarding experience.
"Nice job, everyone!" Taeyong claps, sliding down next to me and taking a big gulp of water.
"Sorry about the weather..." Kayla apologizes, trailing off and looking down at the floor dejectedly.
"Don't worry, it's not your fault! The weather's not in your control," I assure her, shocked that she's blaming herself. Everyone else nods in agreement.
"Okay then... Thank you guys so much," Kayla smiles, visibly feeling better.
"That was one of my favorite concerts ever," I comment truthfully, joined by voices of agreement as we all laugh.
Then my smile falls as I realize that our departure is tomorrow.

Do I make them leave and forget about everything? 👀
