"What the heck?" I looked at my computer screen. All my emails were gone and I knew Finn had done it for the fifth time that week. It was something he did all the time to stress me out even though I was already stressing about college. I had taken a gap year to figure out what I wanted to do, but even three months in I still don't know.
And being eighteen years old still living at home made me sad worried about me. He didn't want me to be stuck again, but I wasn't sure if I'd ever go back to that.

"FINN!" He walked slowly into my room after I called and I smiled just trying to call myself calm down. "Didn't I tell you to stop touching my computer?"

"Yeah?"

"Then stop going through my emails and deleting them!" I threw my pillow at him and he tried to dodge it but still got hit.

"You act like you watch porn on there." He said so bluntly. How did he know what that was? He's ten.

"Just leave." I shut my computer and put it on my desk. I plopped onto my bed and heard my phone start to ring. I got up and saw it showing a random number. I declined at first but then I heard it ring again.  I answered it this time, "hello?"

"Hey is this (Y/n)?"

"Uhh..." I didn't know whether to lie or not. "No?" I lied.

"Hmm really? It's Jaden by the way."

Jaden. I sat up in my bed and felt my cheeks get hot, "oh hey Jaden."

"Hey."

"Sooo..." I put the phone on speaker and waited for him to say something.

"Oh well I was wondering if you maybe wanted to hang out?"

"Wait can we FaceTime?" I asked fixing my hair quickly.

"Oh-oh yeah sure."
I called him and he picked up instantly. His smile shone brightly through the camera and I couldn't help but smile also.

"Hey (Y/n)."

"Hey."

"So about what I asked..."

"I mean where do you want to meet up?"

"Take me somewhere that you love." I smiled as he said that.

"Hmm, well I kinda just met you but if you want to get to know me then I'll pick you up. How about that?"

He quickly shouted, "NO! Wait, sorry no. I'll just go pick you up don't worry about it."

"Uhh okay."

(Jaden's POV)
"So do you live in New York?" She asked as she laid down next to me. She brought me to a park, no one was there so confusion built up about why this was the place she wanted to show me.

"Uhh yeah." I lied for my own personal reason. Maybe in the future she'll get it but right now it doesn't seem like she knows anything about me.

"Oh okay." She looked over at me with a wide smile. Her (y/e/c) eyes were nice to look at, everything about her was attractive, but I wanted to wait to even make it seem like I was interested especially since she thinks I just want to hang out with her brother.

"So what do you do? Do you make tiktoks or play sports?" I asked.

"No, I don't even have social media. All it does is kill. No matter what it is from killing our confidence, humor, people." She looked up at the sky and I couldn't help but just look at her. I knew she was thinking about something, but I didn't know if it was my place to ask.

"Yeah I guess, so you don't know who Charli is?" I asked to make sure she didn't know anything.

"No and I don't care to. Maybe if we continue to hang out I'll tell you why I don't have, maybe I'll tell you about me." That smile she showed as she looked at me made me blush every time. She was pretty and self conscious.

((Y/n)'s POV)

"So I have to wait how long to get to know you?" He asked with a small laugh.

"You'll find out a lot without me even telling you." Looking over at him and looking into his eyes. "Trust me, you'll get tired real quick."

"Nah, I promise I won't." He said holding his pinky out.

"Oh so we're close enough for pinky promises?" I said making both of us laugh.

"Yeah, for some who continues to make me smile, we're close enough to do pinky promise."

I smiled and linked our pinkies, "okay."
