He smiled down at me while my face was serious. He kept bugging me and telling me that nothing happened, but how could he say that when Tyler and Finn say something way different.

"I promise, I did it for a good reason. Plus I just wanted to know more about you, is it that bad?" He held onto my hands as we were both in the living room. Finn was taking a nap on the couch with the usual drool going down onto his cheek. I looked over at him and smiled, but then looked at Jaden and tried not to raise my voice. "Jaden. You literally asked my brother personal questions about my life. I want to be open with you, but why don't you just ask me?"

"I did, but you weren't clear on everything so that's why I asked Finn."

"And you asked my ex-boyfriend, which is just weird. His mom keeps texting me about going over to their house so I can go and talk to Tyler again. That hadn't happened in months and you triggered the rope that now she thinks I want to have a relationship with him again." He looked away from me and just sighed.

"Can we just go talk in your room?" He asked. I looked over at the direction he was looking and saw Finn start to wake up. "C'mon (Y/n)." He tugged onto my arm and I just tugged it away. I started to walk away and just went to my room.

I waited for him in there and once he eventually came in, he sat down on my bed while I was sitting at my desk. "So why'd you do it?" I asked.

"I just did it because I care. I wanted to know more about you, and I don't get why it's wrong."

"Because maybe I wasn't ready to tell you, Jaden! Maybe, just maybe it would take me a while to be able to open up about what happened to Connor, why I'm not with Tyler, why everything that happened in my life happened. You can't barge your way into my life when the doors aren't even open yet."

He brushed back his hair and looked at me, "I just care about you."

"You can care about me in different ways, but interrogating my brother, like what the hell?"

"I didn't interrogate him, I asked questions because you seemed a bit sus about your past." He scoffed and looked away from me.

"I'm sus?" I asked as I raised my voice, "Okay sure, let's say I'm the one who's sus. Then what about you Jaden? You get a million messages, act like it's normal, and then when I'm going to confront you about something, you just run. What's that about?"

He rolled his eyes and grabbed his phone, then stood up from the bed, "I'm done talking about this (Y/n)."

I quickly got up and put my hand on his chest, "No you're not, because you're just proving my point. That you're such a pussy that you're going to go run again. Why can't you just come face to face with me and talk about it?"

"I want to talk about it, but I just feel like you won't believe anything."

"Why wouldn't I? I've literally been here for the longest time being by your side since we met and I've enjoyed everything you have done for me or with me. I listen to you and I'm trying my best to just be myself now because you've helped, but I need that from you too."

He sat back down on the bed and I sat beside him, "I'll be leaving New York soon, so don't worry about me. Just go on with your life and figure out what you want-"

"JADEN! I want you, but you keep hiding things, your reasons, like just tell me."

"I can't." He said

"Why not?"

"I-"

"(Y/n)?" I turned my head to see Finn standing there. He looked at me innocently and I felt my heart break as he stood there kind of scared.

"Finn, it's okay. Don't worry."

"No it's not. You're yelling at him!" My eyes widened as he rose his small voice at me. "Why can't you just tell her the truth?" He asked as he looked at Jaden.

"You're hiding something and she's yelling at you like she yelled at Tyler that night, what's going to happen this night? Is someone going to end up dead like Connor?"

It fell silent and I didn't even want to speak. I was officially scared of myself and I didn't like how my brother remembered these things that made my life a little harder. His hands were shaking and his whole body seemed cold as his cheeks were a tint of pink and his eyes were becoming red with tears.

"I need to go." I said as I grabbed my phone. I grabbed my hoodie and started to walk out the door. I know I was being a pussy like Jaden and not confronting my problems, but this was a bit harder as he brought up Tyler, Connor, and the death of our friendships.
