"So what's your favorite thing in the whole world?" He asked as we ate the McDonald's we picked up.

"My brother. I mean he's a person but he's my favorite." I smiled as I thought about everything my brother and I do together. He was my best friend before Connor and I loved him more than anyone else I knew.

"Yeah I like your brother, he's a cool. Did you even know what he was saying when he was talking to me in the store?" He asked and I smiled as I turned to face him. I looked into his glowy green-blue eyes and smiled. My cheeks flushed and his continued to smile at me, I don't think I had seen him frown since we met yesterday. He always smiled.

"What was he saying?" I asked.

"He was telling me everything about you. Saying that you were the best girl he'd ever met ."

"That doesn't say much, he only talks to older guys." I said and we both laughed.

"But seriously he talked about you so much and he was like "I know we just met but you'd look good with my sister and as her personal wingman, I think this right for me to do." I was so confused, but when he pointed to you, I knew it was right for us to meet."

I smiled and looked back outside. The seatbelt of the car felt restrictive, so I took it off. "I didn't even know he did that." I said as the smile stayed on my face and when I realized I was still smiling it made me happy. I haven't smiled for this long before.

"Yeah, but he seems like a great kid."

I nodded and felt him looking at me, "what?" I said looking at him.

"You're really pretty."

"Thank you Jaden." He nodded his head and I felt the tension build as we didn't know what to say.

"Can we do something else?" I asked.

"What else do you want to do? It's already five, shouldn't I get you home?"

"No, my dad won't notice. He's too busy for that."

Jaden continued to think about it and then came to a conclusion. "How about this? We go to the store and then we go back to your house and hang out."

"Hmm, let's go to the store first and I'll figure out whether I want you in my house." I said jokingly.

"Okay, but for sure after the store you'll want me around forever." He smiled and as I looked at him, I couldn't believe what was happening.

My heart was beating faster for him.

I looked at the board games against the wall in Target and Jaden was looking at the LEGO sets they had there.

"Do you want to play UNO?" I asked him.

"Yeah that'd be cool." He smiled and turned back around to look at the legos, "How about this?" He showed me a set of legos that would build into a house.

"Perfect." We were both smiling before Jaden looked to the side of us and started to get nervous. "Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. Are you ready to go?" He asked still looking that way.

"Yeah." I tired to look but he grabbed me hand and we both started walking to the cashiers.

I laid down on my bed as he took the items out of the bag. "Jaden?"

"Yeah?"

"What happened at the store?"

"Oh uh I just saw some people from high school, I just didn't want to have such a long talk with them." I knew something was off, but I wasn't going to say anything. I wanted to just enjoy the rest of the night.

"Okay."

"So legos or uno?" He asked.

"UNO definitely."

We started to play for a while and after ten minutes of arguing about who really won, I just gave up and laid down on the bed.

He laid next to me and looked over at me. "Thanks for hanging out with me today."

"No problem, I enjoyed all of it." I looked over at him and felt my face get hot again. He continued to look at me with a peaceful silence and then he started to lean in slowly. His skin was clear as I looked at him closer and his lips were a light pink. His hand made its way to my cheek and when our lips were only inches apart I pulled away.

"So legos?"

"Huh?" He said sitting up.

"Do you want to build the legos?"

"Yeah, but (y/n)?"

"Yeah?"

"Here." He pulled me close to him and kissed my cheek. Now I knew my face was blushing hard core. He was looking down at me and I wanted to kiss him but the opportunity was gone and we were now going to build the legos. But maybe it was also because I didn't want to fall if he wasn't willing to catch me.
