His skin was soft as his arm was unknowingly wrapped around me. He fell asleep fast as the movie continued and as I looked at him sleeping, I felt my goosebumps on my arms and the cold of the air wasn't that bad. Maybe I was just nervous that a guy I found so attractive was very close to me. His body was warm and I couldn't stop staring at him. His hair was so fluffy and I wanted to go back in time and just kiss him. I didn't know the most about him, but I wanted to. I wanted things to happen between us.
He continued to sleep nicely, but I spoke to him as if he was awake. "Jaden. What do you think of me?"
The silence filled the room as it was about three in the morning, "I think that you are pretty different, someone I want to observe. I don't think you know what you're getting into, but I like our friendship and I like-"
"I like you." Jaden said with his eyes still closed and had a sleepy voice with it.
"What?" I said.
"I like your hair and your eyes. I like your skin, I'm starting to like you." He said as he tightened his grip on my waist.
I didn't know what to say. Maybe I wanted to like him, I was going to tell him I liked his hair. I did like his personality that I've known, maybe I did start to like the person I was meeting. "Yeah me too."
"What, you like yourself?" He asked as he opened his eyes and smiled.
"No I'm starting to like you too."
He continued to look over at me and a smile spread across his face, "Okay good."
"Yeah." I hugged his close to me and felt him smile on my skin. He was someone that I had been waiting for. Someone to bring me back the happiness I needed, him and Katie were saving my dad and I.

( 2 weeks later )
"(Y/n)! C'mon!" He said as he ran up to the entrance of the store. He looked like a little kid ready for a new toy to come out, but instead he saw a vinyl local store in New York. I smiled as I walked with him. Hand in hand, and he continued to smile at me almost every second he could.
My dad was happy for me and Finn was even happier when he saw Jaden at the house. Katie seemed kind of anxious all the time and I was kind of confused, but I never asked her why. My main focus for the past couple of weeks had been on Jaden and only him.
I let go of Jaden's hand and looked through the aisles of music. My favorite thing to do on the weekends was go to different areas and walk around listening to different street artists. Connor liked it too, but I never found the courage to talk about Connor with Jaden. Because now I was in my own little world.
"How about this one?" He asked as he pointed to a blue record player.
"Uh Jaden that's seven hundred dollars."
He looked at the price and pulled me close to him, "That's okay, as long as you like it I'll get it." I felt my cheeks flush and I smiled at the thought of us laying on my bed and listening to music. He enjoyed music as much as I did. He always talked about it when we would hang out at my house, always just music, nothing about him. He always tried to steer the attention away from himself, and always wanted to know new things about me. He asked about my high school years, but when he brought it up I couldn't bring myself to actually talk about it. I ignored his question and built the legos that were in front of us and told him a simple, "Don't worry about it."
"Plus I'll be there every time you listen, so that we can enjoy it together." He kissed my cheek lightly and asked the employee there if we could buy it.
He intertwined his fingers with mine and lead me out the store after we paid. We walked down the street and looked around the stores with clothes lined up by their windows. A pair of shoes were sitting on a stool as we passed by the window. "Those are nice." I said.
"Yeah, they are." He smiled down at me as I admired them. I continued to look at them, but Jaden's gaze was someone else. "Ready?" He asked.
"Yeah." He looked away from what he was looking at before and started to walk away with me beside him. Everything felt wrong though. He was hiding something and all of it was just making me confused.

"Jaden, are you okay?" I asked. I was laying on my bed and I felt my heart beat faster awaiting for disappointment. His eyes darted to me as he started to set up the record player.
"Yeah, why?"
"I don't know, it's just every time we go out together it seems like something makes your mood ruined."
"No, not at all." He sat next to me on the bed and looked at me, "I'm fine, I promise."
"Will you tell me about yourself? You never talk about your life and I want to know you better." We weren't dating but with the way we were acting I wanted my future boyfriend to tell me about himself.
"Okay I will, but will you tell me about your high school life?"
"Yes, I promise." He smiled and I felt my heartbeat slow down as I saw his soft welcoming smile. His interior didn't match how soft he was with me, but I still liked it.
"Okay, I'll start."
