" I don't really live here in New York."

My mouth was gapped a bit open as he was sitting on my bed and I was leaning back on the rolling chair I had for my desk. "What do you mean you don't live here?"

"I'm just visiting, because I have a job that I have to attend to." He fidgeted with the rings on his hand and then looked back at me as I was confused.

"Why would you lie though? I mean it would've been fine if you just told me the truth."

He nodded his head and thought for a while. I couldn't tell what was going on in there. I wish I did and maybe I would know all his secrets, the things he had been keeping from me on purpose, but right now I kind of felt bad. And I didn't know why.

I glanced over to the pictures on my walls. The new ones of Jaden and I, but also the ones of Connor and Tyler. The ones where we were happy and nothing else could change that, maybe I missed it a bit too much. But as I looked I remembered the day that Connor was not feeling himself for the first time, the time where I worried about him the most. To be honest he didn't share much with me, but it was as if he was giving me little clues that I had to figure out myself. And I did figure out one when he was lying on my floor, just breathless.

I looked back at him and he was on his phone, "Are you serious Jaden?"

"No, look I'm trying to figure out how to tell you all this. The truth, but it's just a bit hard. Can I talk to Finn for a minute?"

I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath, "Jaden, this is our relationship. Not you, me, and Finn. Can you just explain to me what's really going on?"

He fidgeted with his rings again and looked down, he mumbled something but I really couldn't hear it.

"What? Can you say it louder?"

I looked down at his lips again, the ones that I used to kiss gladly even though the whole time I was being lied to. And now he mumbled again which I couldn't hear a bit of. He looked up at me and then realized that I had a very serious face. He sighed and opened his mouth to say something, but was soon interrupted with Finn running into my room.

"WAIT!" He yelled breathless. He walked into my room unsteady as he was breathing heavily. His over dramatic self sat on the bed next to Jaden and smiled at me but then looked at Jaden, "What's your full name?"

I made a confused face at him, but watched as Jaden became anxious, he fiddled with his rings again. He looked at Finn, and ruffled his hair. The look he gave my brother made me soft, I always liked it when Finn got along with my friends or boyfriends so seeing them smile with each other or just be happy and laugh, made me feel good. But right now I was unsure why Jaden looked so upset.

"My full name is Jaden Isaiah Hossler." Finn stared at him in awe, he knew something I didn't and he just began to smile at him.

He ruffled Jaden's hair which made Jaden chuckle awkwardly, "What is it Finn?" I asked still genuinely confused.

"He's Jxdn. Like the singer that some kids at school showed me, but I had never seen his face so I didn't think it would be Jaden, like our Jaden."

Jaden's eyes widened as he looked at me and then Finn, "Hey bud, I'll talk to you later. How about you let me and your sister talk for a bit." Finn nodded his head and left the room screaming down the stairs to tell my dad some news that I was unaware of.

There was a bit of silence, but I looked at him sternly. He put his phone aside and started to relax a bit.

"So you're a singer?" I asked. I sat next to him on the bed and he leaned back laying down. I did the same as we both looked at the ceiling.
