(Sokka) POV
We didn't talk as Appa landed on Chameleon Bay. Da-father took Katara and Aang both to the medical tent immediately, since Katara couldn't stop puking and Aang... well. You know.
The Earth King decided to travel the world in disguise, so he set off alone... by that I mean he went with his bear.
In my opinion he's a coward. When his kingdom is overthrown, he just leaves. I knew if (Y/n) were here she'd have beaten him for leaving.
(Y/n)... I'm so so sorry. I failed you again, but this time I can change that!
(Y/n) is probably being held in a cell right now on her way to the Fire Nation. So she just has to wait a little longer and we can save her on the day of black sun.
It's been about two weeks since I lost her and even though things were starting to look up, I knew it wouldn't last.
Even when we get (Y/n) back, I knew deep down she won't be the same. Not after what happened.
I sat alone on the Fire Nation vessel we were able to capture, eating my nightly portion. As I chomped down my sea prunes I couldn't help but glare at my tribe.
They all sat around each other laughing as they ate their pathetic food. They all made me sick.
As I glared I accidentally made eye contact with my father, shit. He excused himself before walking over, "Can I sit here?" He asked.
I turned my attention to my food and shrugged, "You're the Chief. It's your boat"
He sat down and as I slowly ate he tried to make small talk with me, "So if we stay on this course, we should pass by the Serpents pass in a day or so"
"That's great" I told him in a monotoned voice.
"... I was wondering if you wanted to help me out with the men? I could use an extra hand concerning the circumstances"
"You seem to have it under control" I picked at my stew.
"Ah... I see"
We both sat there in silence. Why couldn't he see I just didn't want to see him. I didn't want to see anyone.
I was still utterly disgusted with the reaction he and his men had when they found out about (Y/n).
They all acted scared. They acted upset. They said they wanted to get her back.
Liars.
"So... do you want to talk about the battle plan again? I was thinking that some more strategic moves could hel-"
"Father, what do you want?" I snapped.
"W-what?"
"Why are you here? Shouldn't you and your Council be off planing on ways to punish little innocent girls?" I scoffed.
"Sokka..."
"Oh that's right, the only little girls you actually punish are Friebender's. My mistake" I rolled my eyes.
"..." he looked away ashamed, like he should be.
As he lost eye contact with me I heard a commotion at the other end of the deck. I raised a brow as everyone was crowding around someone.
