Chapter 8 Shining Diamond Pub

Soonyoung and Mingyu entered college together chatting away happily when Soonyoung suddenly remembered the lady's words. He turned to Mingyu confused just as they were about to separate ways for their respective classes.
S: " So Mingyuyaa, who was the cute guy the lady was talking about?"
Mingyu looked at a smiling Soonyoung and marvelled at the fact that he was asking him this question. He giggled at the other boy, ruffled his hair and said "you keep guessing Soonyoungaah, I'll see you later at the club".
Soonyoung looked at the Mingyu clearly a little pink due to annoyance. So he'll tell me he's rich and all but not who the cute guy is ? He thought as he walked towards his class.
The day passed slowly for Soonyoung and in thoughts of who the cute guy might be. Thinking of cute guys Soonyoung had a flashback of his first meeting with Woozi. Woozi hyung is cute he thought. Is he the cute guy Mingyu was taking about? But I haven't seen him with hyung that much. His thoughts were interrupted by DK waving his hand in front of his face a million times.
"The bell rang a while ago, are you going to keep sitting here in thoughts of your handsome guy?" DK asked.
S: "what noo ! I wasn't thinking about Mingyu. I was just.."
Dk: "Ohhhhh so you think Mingyu is handsome. Alright I know now. Boo I found out who Soonyoung likes."
Soonyoung turned visibly red ! It was then that he realised that DK had asked him a trick question and now he was trapped. Did he like Mingyu though ? He thought to himself.
He ruffled his hair and stood up to follow Boo and Dk who were clearly discussing his chances with Mingyu in a very obvious way.

They walked to the club and for a sudden moment Soonyoung blushed when Mingyu came and sat beside him. What is wrong with you Soonyoung ! Get a grip! just because Booseok think you like him doesn't mean you do ! He thought to himself and shoulder punched Mingyu lightly who looked at him in surprise.
M: What was that ? (Smiling)
S: For not answering my question earlier (replied without looking at him)
Soonyoung had his eyes fixed on the three heads who were approaching them. Among them he was intently looking at Woozi who had an aura of authority. How can he look so small and cute but give out that kind of aura he thought. Suddenly he made eye contact with him and quickly lowered his head in embarrassment. I'm going to get scolded ! He looks pissed off ! He thought to himself.
Woozi on the other hand had a very awkward feeling when he tried to sneak a peak at Soonyoung but found him looking right at him. He thought he might've been caught with the glimpses he's been quietly taking at him. He cursed himself in his head.
Within a few minutes all the club members were seated in the audience seats while the three heads hopped on the stage and sat down facing the members. Soonyoung found it extra amusing that Woozi could jump that high up on the stage being so tiny. Everything about Woozi kept Soonyoung intrigued.

Coups: "Alright kids! (Grabbing everyone's attention) We had the last auditions today and added three new freshers completing our seats for this term. Which also means that we are going to party tonight !"
Sudden cheers filled the auditorium.
Coups: "Calm down everyone you don't know anything about the party yet ! (The audience went pin drop silent ) So you are supposed to get the invitations from the heads who you can see are sitting right here (pointing at Minghao, Woozi and Joshua). Be nice and line up to get the invitations."
Everyone got up and lined in front of the stage and started receiving the invitation one by one. Soon it was Booseoksoon's turn with Mingyu right behind Soonyoung. As Soonyoung approached the three he smiled brightly at them. Joshua spoke first,"Tell us something fun about yourself, so we can get to know you a little better." He poked Woozi a bit who nodded at Soonyoung to speak.
"People tell me I'm a different person when I'm on stage and performing. I don't feel that way though, it's weird." Soonyoung blurted out without thinking and in a very serious tone.

The next thing that happened shocked every senior inside the auditorium to the core. Woozi bursh laughing at Soonyoung's comment and everyone was shook. Coups has been Woozi's childhood friend and this was the first time he saw Woozi laugh like that after years.
Soonyoung found a laughing Woozi the cutest thing ever. He stood there like a dork smiling from ear to ear trying to decipher what made Woozi crack up like that. Soonyoung felt like he achieved something. Those two were the only people enjoying the scene while everyone else was either staring at Woozi with open mouths or asking what Soonyoung had said.
Woozi stopped laughing and smiled at Soonyoung," You are the weirdest person I've ever met in my life" he said as he placed the invitation on his head.
Soonyoung was at a loss for words, so he just smiled dumbly at the three bowed and moved to where Boo and Seok were waiting for him.
The atmosphere changed back to what it was suddenly as Woozi went back to his normal cold aura. Mingyu who was next in line keenly looked at Woozi's reaction to Soonyoung and felt that there was something more to how Soonyoung smiled at Woozi. He was greeted by a baffled Minghao who smiled at him and asked him a few questions. Woozi didn't say a word. He didn't say a word to anyone except Soonyoung and Mingyu noticed this.

The rest of the invitation process went by quietly and soon all the juniors left to get ready for the party. Slowly the seniors started packing and left. There were only 5 people left in the auditorium.
Coups: Wooziaah are you okay? Did the kid offend you or something? Should I give him a warning ? (Concerned for Soonyoung)
W: No why? (Confused at his friends weird question)
Coups eyed Joshua who spoke next very cautiously.
J: so why did you suddenly burst laughing? You do know you can tell us if something happened right?
Woozi was clearly annoyed now. Why are they asking me weird questions when all I did was laugh. He thought to himself.
W: Can't I laugh if I find something funny ?
Coups: (trying to moderate the situation) Oohh it must've been funny then ! We thought something happened since we haven't seen you laugh like that for the longest time.
Woozi just picked up one of the invitations for himself and left reading it.
Shining diamond club at 7pm it said.
