Reaper: Book 1

Backtory

Born Emberly Leanne Arlene in 2004 in Canada, as she grew up she always felt she was different but she never knew why. Her mother died when she was 3 in a car crash on her birthday with her in it. That was when her father started being abusive to her. Emberly would wear boys clothes which would anger her father and he would beat her and keep her from school. She would lie and say she was sick or there was a family emergency. Through the years that past Emberly kept feeling different despite her father telling her she isn't allowed to wear those types of clothes because she was a girl and girls don't dress like boys. So she was forced to wear dresses and skirts.

Over time she started sneaking away at night in boys clothes and skateboard around the parks and climb and jump from various buildings and such. One night her father had stayed up watching television when she finally came back home. He was furious. He ripped her clothes off, beat her and held her down and had his way with her out of anger. He would often yell at her the same words over and over while he did it "you are nothing. You will always be nothing. You will die nothing." Her father was always nice near the holidays and her birthday. But a few days after them he would be back to beating her and taking advantage of her. Sometimes it got so bad she couldn't move because it hurt so much. This went on for years. She when her father was at work would draw. She was good at it. She would draw herself as a boy and write 'Aron' at the bottom of the page. She didn't understand why she felt the way she did but she knew the boy in the drawing was her.

As the years went on she got more and more depressed. On her 16th birthday after the party she gave herself a gift. The gift of death. Not knowing she would wake up a reaper and make friends who helped her become and discover what she was feeling and why she felt her true self was the boy in the drawing.
