"Sammi, where the hell are you? Caroline is going to rip our heads off our shoulders if we're late again. Call me!", I threw my phone back into my bag, as I made my way through the school halls as quickly as possible. I span around a corner too fast, and smacked my head off somebody else's.
"Ouch!"
I gently rubbed my forehead, and immediately knew it would turn into a big ugly bruise later. I looked up and met eyes with Elena Gilbert.
We both laughed at the fact that we were both late for cheerleading practice.
"You too?", she asked me.
"Yeah. Caroline is so not gonna be happy. This is my third time being late this week."
Elena grabbed my wrist, and we hurried to cheer practice, "Then, we better not be late this time."
........Once we made our way out onto the field, me and Elena were both receiving the death glare from our angry cheer captain.
"You guys better have good excuses for being late... And be warned, I'm in a mood", Caroline placed her hands on her hips. So not a good sign.
"Sorry, Care. Problems with Jeremy again", Elena gave a pointed look towards Caroline, and she seemed to have accepted her excuse.
"Okay, but that doesn't excuse you for being late, Ash", Caroline's eyebrows were now forming wrinkle lines in between them.
Elena gave me an apologetic look before joining the others, and began her stretches.
"Oh, God. Look I'm sorry, okay? Mr. Saltzman wanted to see me after class about my grades. I promise I won't be late again."
"Yeah. Isn't that what you said last week? You can't keep doing this, it messes our routine up, not to mention, it makes me cranky."
"You don't say?", I mumbled.
"Next time you're late, I won't be too kind about it", she threw a sweet smile at me and strutted back to the rest of the girls.
Whilst nobody was watching me, I childishly stuck my tongue out behind Caroline's back.
However, somebody was watching me, and a low chuckle erupted from behind me.
I twirled around to discover a very good looking man standing there, arms crossed and wearing a sexy smirk on his face.
"I see you've upset Barbie", he tutted, "Big mistake. I learnt first hand."
"And you are?", I asked.
His smirk had gotten bigger, as he came closer, "Damon... Salvatore", he kissed the back of my hand. This wasn't the 1800's, I thought to myself.
"Salvatore? Are you related to Stefan Salvatore?"
"Unfortunately, I am", Damon grimaced, "Yuck! I know. I'll let you into a secret though", he leaned in and whispered into my ear, "I'm the fun brother."
I laughed a little and replied with a smirk, "That isn't hard to be. Your brother is like a dementor. He sucks out all the energy in the room, as soon as he steps foot in one."
"Mm... I like you", he pointed.
He really was an extremely beautiful man. His dark hair was scruffed to perfection, his smouldering blue eyes captured mine throughout this whole conversation. Not to forget that seductive, "Bad Boy" smile of his.
"Hel-lo! We're over here", Caroline was really starting to get pissed off now. "Damon? What are you..? Never mind. Just go pester someone else, would you?"
