"What was the mutual agreement, between you and Damon?", his soft voice gave me chills. The good kind.

"She'll never forgive you for compelling her!", Damon cut in. "Just leave her be, and I'll tell you!", he tried to save the plan but it was no use. Klaus knew something was up.

"Shut him up, Rebekah! I'm talking to Ashley", he never dropped the eye contact. "Tell me."

"To kill you", my monotone voice whispered.

A flicker of hurt crossed his eyes, and seeing him hurt made me want to stab myself in the gut. Why was I so attached to this guy? Everything he felt, I felt ten times worse.

"I made a mistake", he whispered. "Don't people usually get second chances? I would have thought, you of all people believed in that." Klaus dropped his hand back to his side, and looked away. "I guess I made another mistake, then", he coldly replied.

I flinched, as he roughly grabbed my arm, then caught Bonnie's, and dragged us through to the main room. He shoved Bonnie to the floor, "Do the bloody spell, Bonnie and I'll let your friend here live", he threatened me. His hands felt like steel wrapped around my arms.

"You're lying", Bonnie stared at Klaus.

"Would you like to test that theory?"

Bonnie looked to me, alarmed, "No. I'll do it."

Bonnie poured a vile of blood into a cup, and began chanting.
..........

She had now mixed all the siblings blood into the cup, and poured it all onto the table. I watched, as the blood split into five circles, and Bonnie carried on her chanting but louder. Flames flared upwards, the circles were growing further apart from each other. Suddenly, she stopped. The flames died completely, sending the room into silence.

"Did it work?", I broke the silence with a small whisper.

"We'll have to wait and see", He eyed Bonnie. "You can leave now, you know your way to the door", he rudely added.

"Wow. How nice of you", Bonnie glared. "Come on, Ash. Let's get out of here."

I took a step forward only to be pulled back to Klaus' chest, his grip tighter than ever. "She won't be joining you, I'm afraid. Maybe later. She and I have some things to discuss."

"We do?", I snorted.

"Yes."

"I'm not leaving here without her", Bonnie sharply responded.

Yes, Bonnie! You tell him!

"Well, then I'll just have to forcefully remove you", he smiled.

"Bonnie, just go. I'll catch up", I smiled, grateful that somebody cared.

"Are you sure?", she frowned.

I nodded, reluctantly. I didn't really want to be left alone with him. What if he was about to end my life because I betrayed him? Well, he betrayed me too! Karma's a bitch, Klaus.

Once Bonnie left the premises, Klaus poured two drinks out, and passed me one.

Author's POV

Stefan and Elena both entered the Salvatore's library, greeting Caroline.

"Hey. How's Alaric?", Elena asked.

"He'll be okay. I gave him a bottle of Bonnie's herbs, and he went home. Oh, did you guys kill Finn? Did it work?", Caroline sat upright in her chair.

"Nothing worked until I see Klaus' dead body myself", Stefan replied.

Elena's phone started ringing, and she answered it, "Bonnie. Where have you been?"
