My Horrible Cousin

Chapter 22

   My grandmother took me home. There was aunt Kim and Lenya, and my mother.

"Did yall see what happened to Tika and James?!" I asked. Nobody said anything.

"Your clothes are in the limo, say goodbye to your mother and sister, me and your grandmother will be outside waiting." Aunt Kim said, then they left.

"18... 18 long years I raised you and your sister .. all by myself, and know yall both are just going to leave me." My mama said.

"It's not like that mama.. Aunt Kim is paying for me to go to College . I have a future, and I cant be held back." I said.

"Do you not see what Kenya is going through down here?! She needs to leave!" Says Lenya, defending me.

"Fine... leave.. leave and never come back.." mama said shrugging her shoulders.

That sentence hurt me deep.. I had no response.  I just hugged Lenya and got in the Limo.

*** In the Limo***

"What happened?" Asked Aunt Kim

"She told me to leave, and never come back ." I said wiping a tear."

"Of course." My Aunt Kim mumbled. "Driver, you can pull off."

It was the longest drive ever, considering that I never left the state before , everything amazed me. And then the flight was perfect. We had first class! I dont know how my aunt Kim got so rich, but thats my goal.

It felt like years, but finally, the driver, Chris, woke me up. I looked out the window, and my window dropped. It was the biggest house i've ever seen before ! It was just so unbelievable  that me, Kenya Woods, was going to be living here. Chris took my bags and I walked through the door. When I looked up I seen 2 teenagers, they both were sisters. I was confused.

"Well Kenya, as you know , I couldnt have kids, so I thought a couple years back, adopting was the choice for me." Said my Aunt Kim.

"I never heard about this." I said in shock.

"Only person that knew was your grandmother." She said smiling. "Anyways , the one in the blue is Keshera and the one with the skirt is JoJo. "

They both waved.

"Well girls, show her to her room"

They both led me up the stairs, it was so many stairs, at least 20. I almost died. When we finally got up there, we passed about like 4 rooms, then we finally got to mine.  I looked on the wall and it had a big K and L

"Well, this was for you and your sister, but I guess she didnt come." Said Keshera.

"Thanks." I said.

Chris put all my bags by my closet, and then JoJo tipped him.

"Well we are gonna let you get unpacked, then maybe when you are done, we can get to know each other?" Asked JoJo.

"Sure." I said. They left.

I sat on my bed and looked around. My room was so huge. I opened the door and I had a full bathroom in there, then a walk in closet. I just couldnt believe it. I then went on my huge comfy bed and started unpacking. Still in shock that aunt Kim had adopted kids , and no one told us. Then all of a sudden, my phone started Vibrating  I looked and it was Jason, I then face palmed myself, because  I forgot to tell him Goodbye.

I answered.

"Really Kenya, I didnt even want you to leave, but you really didnt even say goodbye!" He yelled.

"Im sorry Jason, my mom just upset me, so I left."

"Yeah, like I had anything to do with that." He said sarcastic.

"Jason..."

"You didnt even text me saying you were on the way to New York or anything Kenya. You had me look like a fool showing up to your house, with all  these gifts!"

"I was not thinking, im sorry."

"We're done." He said then hung up.

I sat on my bed crying. Just a few minutes ago I was the happiest girl in the world, now im the saddest. I cried for about 10 minutes, then I looked up, and saw the weirdest thing. JoJo was looking at me through the crack of the door.
