Another Shot

Two weeks.

It had been two weeks since Luz returned to the Boiling Isles.

It had been a week since Luz enrolled into Hexside again.

It had been a week since Boscha had mentioned Formal Grom.

Formal Grom was in a day.

Everyone had been excited!...

....Meanwhile, Amity had been a mess.

'This is so stupid! What if she says no?'

Amity has been overthinking the worse ever since she arrived at school and now she's nearly at the end of school and she's desperate to get it over with.

As Amity was putting her things in her locker, Luz had walked up to her. "Hey Amity!" Amity turned to the latina in a panic, "LUZ! Wh-Um Hi? I- hi! W-What brings you here?" Amity nervously smiled.

"Oh, well.. Gus took Willow to the Plant room since Boscha had a 'surprise' for her. So, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?" Luz smiled innocently. Amity felt herself turn red, "Y-You mean..You and me? Together? Alone?"

Luz looked at the witch confused, "Um yea, if that's okay with yo-" "I'M OKAY!" Amity blurted out. "I-I..ahem, yes I'm okay with that." Luz laughed a bit, "Great! We should probably get going before-"

"YES!"

Luz and Amity turned to the Plant room door and saw Boscha come out with lipstick kisses on her lips, looking satisfied.
Then, Willow beaming up with flowers, followed by Gus who looked like he saw a ghost.

The girls looked at each other and laughed a bit. "We could..go get ice cream if you'd like?" Amity suggested while her cheeks turned pink. Luz smiled, "I'd love that." Amity heart melted.

"Pick a flavor."

Amity smiled as Luz looked amazed with the flavor names. "I'll have a...Choco Monster." Luz said to the cashier. "Make that two please." Amity smiled. The cashier growled in delight as they started making the cones.

As soon as their orders arrived, the cashier asked for 10 snails. Luz was about to take out her bag of snails when Amity beat her to it and paid. "Amity, I could have paid." Luz pouted a bit. Amity giggled, "It's okay, it's my treat."

Luz looked at her and smiled, "Thank you, but I'm paying you back." Amity giggled as they both took their cones.

The two made their way out and began walking along their trail. Amity felt herself become uneasy as she thought of asking Luz. Her eyes became wide over a realization and turned to Luz, "W-Wait, aren't you lactose tolerant?"

Luz hummed a bit as she gave the ice cream a lick, "Oh, I am. But I'll fight through it, this is so good!"

Amity nervously laughed a bit, "Sorry for..forgetting." "It's okay, to be honest I didn't think you would remember." Luz smiled.
