Confession

The morning came by quicker than usual..

..but the awkwardness between Amity and Luz didn't go away that quickly.

"Amity wh-"

"I know! I just...I had no choice."

Amity looked down at her fingers, trying to ignore Luz's gaze. "What do you mean... you had no choice?" Luz asked. Amity stayed quiet as Luz suddenly understood. Luz's tone turned bitter as the thought occurred.

"....Your parents."

"OKAY! I finally figured out how to make these things called..waffles? And you! Will be my subject to try them." King said as he jumped on the counter and pointed at Luz. Luz smiled a bit, "Thanks King.." "Want some Amity?" King offered, "I should warn you though..they will be dangerously delicious."

Amity giggled a bit, "No thank you..I should really get back home soon." Amity stood up from the couch she was sitting at and went upstairs to change. Luz watched her every step until she disappeared in sight. Once the witch was gone, Luz sighed, "King..have I really been gone for that long?"

King, who was mixing, shrugged a bit. "I guess so? I don't know but, your hair says a lot." Luz got up and went near the counter, "I mean..Everyone seems like they've changed a bit, don't you think?" "You mean green girl?" King asked.

"You..just said her name?" Luz said in confusion. "Eh, so? You mean her, don't you?" King poured the batter in a waffle maker. As he began to put the cover top he giggled in excitement. Luz, however, leaned on the counter as she was in deep thought. "Well..I mean her and um..Eda? Lilith? You?"

"Yea no, not me. I will never change. I will have the same ultimate power I always had." King said as he struck a pose. "I'm just saying..I feel like everyone's changed a bit.." Luz hummed. "Are you scared that Amity doesn't like you anymore?" King simply asked. Luz looked at him, "Amity likes me? Really? Wait-um- No no! That's not what I'm scared of!...But Amity likes me? As in..like like?"

"What? She's your friend is what I'm saying!" King said. Suddenly a ding was heard and King let out a squeal of excitement. "O-Oh! Hehe, well yea..We're friends..Of course Amity still likes me! I think..um..ughhh.." Luz groaned, trying to find her words.

King facepalmed as he looked at her, "You know..You're really dense, for a human." Luz looked at him, "Huh?" King set the waffles on a plate, "Well, I can tell you two like each other. Why else would you two almost kiss?" Luz felt her cheeks go red, "HA! Um-y-you saw that?"

"...Luz I'm not an animal."

The two heard footsteps as they say Amity come down in her normal clothes and staff in her hand. "Well, I have to go. Please tell Eda and Lilith I said thank you." Amity said as she headed to the door. Before she went through it she looked at Luz and smiled softly, "..It was great seeing you again..Bye you two." Once Amity walked out, Luz turned too King. "I'll be back in a few, I'll walk her home."

King sighed as he shook his head, "Bad ideaaaa." "Worth a shot thoughhh." Luz answered back as she went out the door.

"Amity wait!"

Amity turned as Luz approached her, "Oh! Luz, what are you doing?" Luz smiled, "I..I was wondering if I could walk you home?" Amity smiled as she shook her head, "N-No, you don't have to do that.." "But I insisted." Luz smiled as she put her hands behind her back.Amity facepalmed a bit.

"There's...no way of talking you out of this, is there?"

"Not. A. Chance."

Amity groaned a bit at Luz's chirpiness response, but of course, was secretly happy that she was tagging along. As the two walked in silence for a minute, Luz opened her mouth to speak. Well..tried before Amity stopped her. "Look Luz...I know what you're gonna say..I don't wanna talk about any events that were talked about or almost happened last night..Got it?"

Luz, feeling a little hurt but tried not showing it, spoke, "Amity...this is something that should be at least talked about.." Luz gestured to Amity's staff. Amity turned away in shame. "...You hated the Coven ever since you found out how they really are...Why go against your will?"

"My parents made me go against my own damn will.." Amity said as she fixed her mini ponytail a bit in frustration.

Luz gave her a 'sympathy look', "...So there's no way I could help you out of this huh?" Amity sighed, "I guess not-Wait." She turned to Luz and pointed a finger at her, "Luz no. Whatever you're thinking, stop it."

Luz shrugged a bit as she played innocent, "Hmm? I'm not thinking of anything."

Amity stopped them in their tracks as she put her hands on Luz's shoulders, her staff miraculously standing on its own.

"Luz, listen to me. You just got back..There is no way in hell your getting in trouble or doing anything stupid on your first day back, okay? If anything were to happen to you I'd-!" Amity stopped her voice from rising a bit as she looked up at Luz. She sighed and turned away from Luz as her cheeks grew red,

"I..I wouldn't be able to live with myself.."

Luz smiled as she put her fingers under Amity's chin, guiding her to look up at her. "Hey.." Amity's face grew even more red, never hearing Luz's tone in such a...loving tone.

"..I'm not going anywhere. No matter what stupid thing I do, you aren't losing me..I'm sorry I didn't wanna make you worried or anything..I just..care about you..a lot." Luz felt her face grow hot with her mini 'confession'. Amity looked at the latina in front of her in admiration.

"Luz...um..t-there's something I need to tell you.."

'Okay Amity! Now's your chance! Just TELL HER!'

"What is it Amity?" Luz smiled.

Amity felt her face grow more hot along with her ears. 'Darn..why did she have to be so cute?!'

Amity took a deep breath as she looked at Luz, "Luz..I..I lo-"

"Luz?"

The two stopped moving as they heard the new voice. Luz looked in front of her as Amity turned her head. Luz looked a bit more shocked than Amity.

"Willow?"
