Start Over

It had been two months.

It had been two months since Luz returned.

Luz hasn't talked to Amity since at least a month ago.

....And it was killing her.

"...I don't what to do.." Luz sighed as she sat on the couch. "Kid, as much as I love seeing people sad and stuff, it doesn't look good on you." Eda said as she tried making some potions. "Just forget about, Luz! Sooner or later this will all be over or later." King hopped on the counter. Luz grunted a bit, "But you don't get it King, I like Amity. This is killing me!"

Luz went back to groaning as she curled up into a ball. Eda and King exchanged looks. That's when Eda had enough, "Alright Luz." The Owl Lady walked over to the couch and tipped it over, causing Luz to help as she fell off. "You are going to figure out some way to talk to Amity so you can stopped mourning or whatever."

Luz sat up, "If there's anything I can do, it's finding ways to talk to Amity." She strut a pose. "Yeah! Go get your girl Luz!" King encouraged as he stood on the mini table and struck a pose with her. Eda looked at the two and sighed as she put a hand over her face.

Amity was a mess.

Granted, how could she not be a mess? Her parents, mainly her mother, just banned her from seeing the girl who made her life ten times brighter! Amity sobbed on her bed as she curled into a ball. Not to mention it's been a month...

...And it absolutely killed her..

A soft knock was heard on her door. "G-Go away.." Amity sobbed as she covered her face. The door opened a bit anyways, revealing Emira with a bowl of some sort of soup and Edric with some tissues. "Hey Mittens, we came to check on you.." Edric said softly. "And we brought you some food.." Emira butted in. Amity turned her head away from her siblings as they approached her.

"It's your favorite soup." Emira beamed up. "Y-Yea...for when I'm sick.." Amity murmured. "Still...could cure love sickness." Edric tried lighting up. Amity sighed a bit, giving in as her siblings sat down on each side. Emira carefully handed her little sister the soup.

Amity did circles in the soup with the spoon, waiting for it to cool down a bit. "I brought you tissues as well...Well, mostly my support." Edric said softly. Amity gave a weak smile, "Thank you..."

"Amity, we are so sorry this happened. I swear we'll try everything we can to tell them off, it's not okay that they won't let you see her." Emira said with a soft yet serious tone. Amity sighed a bit, "Whats the point? She's a human..and we're Blights..Blights never get a happy ending..especially with humans.."

"No Mittens, I refuse to believe that there isn't anything we could do. Remember how mother and father tried banning us from seeing our significant others? We didn't let that happen." Edric said. "He's right. So don't believe that Blights can't get a happy ending...because we can." Emira butted in.

Amity felt a little bit of hope, "Thank you..both of you..seriously.." "But remember Amity, it starts with you. We can't jump into your battle ourselves if you aren't willing to throw in a helping hand." Emira explained.

"She's right, but we aren't going to pressure you or anything. When you're ready to throw yourself in the ring we're gonna be here with you every step of the way." Edric said.

Amity gave a smile, a smile she hasn't showed last month. "Thank you two..I'll keep that in mind.." Edric and Emira looked at each other and back at Amity with a smile.

"Now, eat up. You need something in your system." Emira smiled. "Get some rest too, we'll be guarding your door if anything." Edric said. "Thank you..for everything." Amity smiled.

"We love you baby sis. Now, call us if you need anything." Emira smiled. "I love you guys too.." Amity said. The twins gave Amity a final comfort smile as they walked out and closed the door behind them. Amity took a spoonful of her soup and blew on it before taking a bite.

She let out a sigh of relief, "Thank the heavens it's fresh."

"Luz? What are you doing?"

King looked at the girl confused as she stared at her notebook. "Shhh, I'm concentrating.." Luz said, not looking away from her notebook. "I'm..not following. " King said as he sat next to her, holding his feet.

"I'm trying to remember some of the spells Eda taught me.." Luz said. "Why don't you just ask her?" King asked. Luz shook her head, "I wanna figure it out myself..If I can do an Oath spell with JUST my hands, I'm trying to see if I can do another spell..without the notebook." Luz explained.

King let out a little 'oh' as he held onto his feet. The two sat in silence for 10 mins...

....20 mins

.....30 mins

.....an hour....an hour and a half...

....two hou-

"AH HA! I GOT IT!" Luz yelled as she woke up the mini demon king next to her. "W-What? You got it? YOU GOT IT!...What exactly do you have?" King asked as he tilt his head in confusion. "Ah ah, that my dear friend, is a secret tool we'll use later.." Luz suddenly turned determined.

"I have a plan..A plan to finally reunite with Amity once again."

Luz knew something alright..She knew that she made a promise to Amity to not do something stupid but..She had no choice but to break her promise..
after all...

...Some promises need to be broken..

....but she forgot that with every broken promise...

...comes with a price.
