Hey y'all! So this One-shot is from my other one-shot book. Basically, I have been having a ton of ideas for LoTR and The Hobbit one-shots so I decided to make another one for just them. Anyways, this was the first one-shot that I ever wrote so I'm sorry if its really cringy.
You were known as many different names. Some called you The Wanderer, The Traveler. Others called you the Whisperer. Though the one name that many called you and the name that many throughout middle earth feared was The Huntress, the cloaked figure that rode through middle earth. You were the Huntress. You moved through middle earth with daggers strapped on the side of your right thigh, a bow slung over your back, and a sword in its sheath, strapped on your left thigh. You wandered through middle earth never staying in one spot for too long.
You helped and lended aid to those who need it, but you hurt those you knew had hurt the innocent. No one knew you're name, alas that was until you were invited to be in the companionship of 13 dwarves and 1 hobbit, by the only other in Middle earth who knew your true name and saw your face...
You arrived in the shire after two weeks of traveling. Your horse trotted along the dirt roads of Hobbiten. (Sorry if I spelled that wrong. I don't have any of the books with me currently) You ignored the glances that were being throwing at you from the hobbits that you passed as you headed towards bag end.
As you turned the corner, you saw the door of Bilbo Baggins, the supposed burglar that Gandalf had found to help the dwarves reclaim their mountain, Erebor, home slam shut. You shook your head, chuckling in amusement. You hopped off your horse and tied him to the fence surrounding Bagend. You rubbed Chaos's head, gently pressing your forehead to his. You quietly sung soothing words to him in Elvish, causing him to slowly close his eyes. You pulled your head away and smiled softly at the calm horse in front of you. You gave him one more pat before turning around and swiftly jumping over the fence. You walked up to the round green door and knocked. It wasn't long until a disheveled and disheartened hobbit opened the door.
"I need no more dwarves in my home! Thank you! Good Morning!" He practically yelled before attempting slam the door shut. You folded your arms and stuck your foot out, stopping the door. Your unseen eyes sparkling in amusement.
"Ah, you must be the burglar Gandalf was talking about?" You asked, pulling your hood farther back on you head. The hobbit, Bilbo, looked up in shock. You saw fear flicker in his eyes.
"You- you're th- the Huntress," he stammered. You rolled your eyes before crossing your arms and tapping your foot impatiently.
"Aye, I am. Now, will you allow me entrance to your home? I would much like to meet the company," he nodded, staring at you uncertainly. "Thank you." With that you gently pushed past him and headed towards the voices that were issuing from behind a closed arched door.
You pushed the door open causing all the heads in the room to turn towards to you. You nodded your head before walking around the table and leaning against the wall. You rolled your eyes at the dwarves as they looked ya you skeptically.
"It's rude to stare you know," they all looked away sheepishly. You rolled eyes and pulled out some lembas bread and started to cut it. You were interrupted when they started talking in hushed voices. Your head snapped up when you realized they were talking about you. You narrowed you eyes as you listened to their hushed conversation.
"its the Traveler!" Said one particularly fat dwarve. You rolled your eyes before tubing back into what they were saying.
"Aye, it is. But by the sounds of it, it's a women. We don't need a women dragging us down," the drawf, who you presumed was Thorin Oakenshield, the supposed king under the mountain, his eyes flickering over to you. You narrowed your eyes, your hand gripping the hilt of your sword tightly. You would rather not have it come to a fight, but the dwarves were certainly provoking you. You took a deep breath before standing up and walking over to Thorin.
