···/CHAPTER 13'5 / Jake's POV /···
Kissing Nova was never in my plans. Not when I came here in, nor when I started drinking or even when she came un making a scene about how much I ruined her life.
But much less would I'd thought she would be the one kissing me.
How did we when from arguing to making out, I still got no clue, but one second she was spitting how much I ruined her and the next I was unable to think as she pressed her lips to mine. Kissing me like she needed this as well, like she wanted me to erased any other thought from her mind just like she was doing to me.
Without even fully processing what was going on I was pressing back, relishing in the smooth forgotten feeling of her body against mine and her addictive kisses as my mind ragged in the buzz all that alcohol had created. Right now I wished I hadn't drink that much so I could fully feel this single moment of no-hatred.
She giggled against my mouth, leaning her head back to rest against he bricks of the wall with her eyes half closed. "You taste like beer." I hummed, still in that trance and leaned to kiss down her jawline and neck. My mind was spinning at the smooth warm skin against my lips and the soft way her arms looped around my shoulders. Even with the years that'd passed, it was amusedly easy to find the soft spot over her collarbone and my chest beamed at the way she suddered when I teased it, encouraging me to suck harder, eliciting a moan. "Why did you have to ruin it?"
"I didn't mean to. I'm sorry." I mumbled into her skin, my chest clenching as she shook her head. She didn't believe me and more ache spread from my lungs. "I'm really so-"
"Sh," she shushed me, not wanting to hear me out, as usual; and brought my head up to kiss me again and anything remotedly similar to a decent brain process erased.
I couldn't think straight. It was rushed, but slow, delicate and passionate, sweet but raw. It made me hot and cold, calm and frantic if that was even possible.
"What are you doing to me?"
"What do you want me to do to you?" I shuddered just at the ways she tugged my bottom lip, nipping it playfully and spreading this burning rush everywhere. Damn, it wasn't even in my power to hold back as I once again pressed our mouths together. Melting. Thawing... Exploding. Thousand of fireworks explode under my skin and even in my dozy state I felt more complete than I had in a while. A long while.
But as my barely controled thoughts struggled to make sense out of everything, my instincts seemed to take charge and just responded like they were on autopilot. I couldn't think more than over the glee of having her with me again, not hating me, and the delightful way she tilted her head allowing a deeper kiss as her hands wandered under my shirt, nails taunting the bottom of my spine and awaking goosebumps all the way up my back.
Oh my God. This was really happening. And we were in that crappy backyard of a mediocre bar.
"What if we go somewhere?" I suggested between kisses, unable to stop kissing her for longer than breathing seconds. "Uh? Somewhere... more intimate."
"Okay." she smiled, making my head spin faster as I held her tighter, delving in her mouth and embracing this blissful elixir. Coming here wasn't what I'd thought it would be. Unable to hold back I stepped forwards, loving the way the wall on her back forced our bodies flush together, elicing more of those wonderful shivers that were driving me crazy. Yet I was surprised as she giggled into my lips. "We need to stop, in order to go."
