Sarah leaned back against Clark, she heard him sigh as he squeezed her hand.
"Are we safe?"
"About as good as can be. Jacob has always been a sore looser when it came to me. I never wanted to return here, my father sent the elder to marry us to keep Jacob from trying to claim me as his own."
"Does Clark know that?"
"Yes, and then I lost him. I guess maybe his death sent waves to the other realm. I am not sure if Jacob will be willing to let us go."
"How did he even know you were on my earth? And how would he come here?"
"So many questions for one so young. Let me start from the beginning."
Sarah looked toward the small window, she could tell it was mid day by the way the second sun hung in the deep blue sky.
"I was born well over a hundred years ago. In my culture we are destined to marry one person. The seer saw that I would find my love beyond our world. As I grew so did young Jacob, his infatuation with me only grew. Finally my father had to forbid him to leave me alone. The new seer still saw my destiny beyond our world. My father sent me to earth, knowing it was the only world where I could find what I was to find. Jacob became angry and started a revolt against the royals. Several of the high guard came to me the moment they were told my father had been killed, I was to never return for fear Jacob would kill me. But Jacob thought he found love, a young fairy fell in love with him, and he loved her too. But fate had another cruel moment for the man I once called my friend. After his wife gave birth to their twins, she died. Leaving him in anguish and anger. Suddenly those beautiful girls became the reason his wife was dead. He became angry and tried to kill them until my brother stepped in and removed the girls. Jacob seemed to calm and once again found love."
"He had a more challenging life than you did."
"He did, but leaving him behind made him hate me but yet still yern for my love. I could never give it to him the love he wanted and I told him that."
"He seems bitter."
"He is, and I feel bad for that and in some ways I miss the man that was once my friend."
"At least you care for him in some way."
"I guess but what he wants from me our laws will never allow."

Clark held the medallion in his hand, his fingers going over its raised surface, he wished he knew where she was. He could feel power coming from it, but wasn't sure what to do. He looked up and wondered if this world had a Jor-el.
"Mr. Kent."
"Yes Clark."
"Does this world have a Jor-el?"
"Just a voice in a cave. My son doesn't have much to do with that."
"Oh I thought maybe his Jor-el would be similar to mine."
"Guess not. Why?"
"I needed some advice about something. But I guess it can be dealt with another way."
"Clark I may not be your father, but you can talk to me."
"I know. I thought he would have advice on what I could do. I am at a loss."
"Then we will figure it out as a family, we will find them both."
"I am just hoping before they are hurt."
