Of Two Worlds

Their love

Clark looked out the window to see Clark and Sarah sitting in the porch swing.
"Son, let them alone."
"Sorry, I saw her family. A man that once claimed to love her and a brother who hated her."
"She won't go back to that world."
"Dad she didn't want to be there in the first place, I tried to get back to the house that is the last thing I remember before waking up there."
"I saw how you two looked when you  even if you were not supposed to go, they beat you both half to death. Sarah is Clark's world, much like Lana was yours. Clark I  watched that young man worry about you and her. Sarah means the same as your mother means to me. Let them take the time to just be together."
"I will, I guess I worry about her. In a strange way she is family. Her and Clark are married."
"He mentioned it while you both were missing. I don't think he thinks that Sarah knows."
"They have a wonderful relationship dad. Yes they are both from other worlds, but Sarah is from earth just another plane of existence. I saw how much her brother truly hated her. He never wanted her to return."
"Clark you two didn't go there on your own."
"They wanted her dead, she didn't hear it but I did."
"Your hearing isn't bad, but we will have to talk to them."
"Talk to us about what?" Sarah asked coming back into the house holding Clark's hand.
"You know they wanted you dead?"
"Yes, I know. I might not have the hearing you and my Clark do, but I heard my brother. You see I can hear his thoughts and he hates me."
"Why would he hate you so much?"
"Because I left. I am the chosen one so it was prophesied that I would bring two worlds together to rule side by side."
"Oh, if you don't mind me asking. Why didn't he kill you or us?"
"A law in our land was if the one person has a mate or is married."
"And you had both. So that is why he let us go. Still not sure why he had us beaten first though."
"That was because my brother was angry. I left knowing they would want me to return some day, I don't want to go back or to rule. He can have it, I have my life and happiness." Sarah told them. Clark held her hand and kissed her cheek.
"I'm just happy the two of you were not hurt worse."
"If my brother had wanted us dead,  the law would have meant nothing to him, but he knew the high council would have had his head had he done it. They are the only reason he still rules. I just wish that I was strong enough to return us home, I just have no idea how."
"You are safe here. And know we care so don't worry." Johnathan told Sarah.
"Thanks." She said with a smile.
