The little birthday party ended on a good note, there were drunk mates accompanied by sober friends and uncontrollable lovers (Bokuto) being hoisted away by annoyed partners.

"I'm so sorry for the mess, I'll help you clean up-"

"No, no please Keiji-chan." Oikawa removed his tie, his blazer long gone in between the night, "I'll clean up, you go and sober Bokkun up."

"But-"

"I said go. I'll be fine."

The delicate black haired boy sighed and walked over to the trashed Bokuto who was having a deep conversation with the doorknob.

"Akaashi." Oikawa called and the other boy turned around.

"Thank you, really." He grinned. Akaashi blanked in surprise and softly smiled, "You're welcome."

He watched as he helped the buffer male stand up and they both walked away, as soon as the door closed a tidal wave of utter silence swept the room. Even the lone male's breathing was louder than ever.

There were a few cups littered and alcohol stains on the ground, the mess was minimal; most of the trash was in black bags by the kitchen.

The brunette spent the next few minutes mopping the stains off and discarding anything else that smelt funky or looked unattractive. After that, he heavily fell onto his couch.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, the smell of exhaust from various vehicles had wafted from the ajar balcon and it filled his senses; but it wasn't bad.

Hanamaki..... Mattsuwaka..., or was it Mattsukawa?

A fuzziness had built up his head ever since that conversation with Tobio. Back then, during the party, they had both exited the outside and deterred the party chamber, the music still blared on and drinks were passed.

Oikawa had noticed Tobio speaking with someone in the room; it was a woman, with familiar black hair and blue eyes. He thought they could pass as siblings-

He'd realised with a jolt that it was Kiyoko; apparently she was the one who organized this party along with Akaashi. As his mind clicked, her piercing blue gaze found him.

Tobio and Kiyoko had been looking at him from across the room, something about their predacious gaze made him uncomfortable in his pressed white shirt.

Oikawa was on the couch, an arm thrown over his face. Hanamaki.... Makki. Matsukawa....

Iwaizumi...

A sharp buzz cut through the air and he jumped. He looked around wildly and spotted his phone on the counter, vibrating with a lit screen.

He stumbled there and read the ID: Iwa-chan~

Without a second's hesitation he answered the call, a wide grin already on his face.

"Iwa-chan!"

"Happy birthday Tooru." Iwaizumi's familiar voice filtered through the phone and Oikawa's heart gave a painful clench.

"Thank you, although I would have preferred it if you were here." Oikawa said as he walked over to his room, ready to conclude the day.

He slipped his shoes off and wiggled his toes, easing his shirt off of his body and sitting on his bed. There were a few boxes in the corner of his room, all birthday presents.
