Werewolf shifter

Mae Wilson, a runted omega on the run from her pack, after watching the one person she loved savagely murdered. For what? Refusing to mate with a man that wasn't her mate. Her pack's hunt sends her running straight into no man's land. Leaving her more vulnerable than any other rogue. Her stunted growth leaves her suffering issues not many have ever had to face. A small cold leaves her on death's doorstep, every time.

Alpha Rainer Briggs finds a rogue on the brink of death outside of his pack border, unlike anything he's ever seen. Her condition sparks his interest in more ways that one; his wolf recognizes the honor he's been gifted. He understands the gift the moon goddess has left for him. To be mated to a runted omega, is as rare as it is to be mated to royalty. To have the gift of protecting such a precious soul comes with lots of surprises.

Excerpt:

Chest heaving as I force my legs to move, not allowing myself the reprieve of a break. My senses are overwhelmed as I move further away from the heart of the pack; a place I used to feel comfortable. My home, my family, the only family I really loved ripped apart in front of me - because of my refusal. His death will forever be on my hands, the blood that they spilled before me will always be painted as a painful scar in my mind. The screaming wind rushes through my fur, past my ears in a relentless swirl of emotions. The earth seems to understand the pain that wells up in my being.

The pain and torture that my mind refuses to relinquish, the imagery that continues to flash before my eyes even as my wolf dodges around trees. While she sees the objects in front of me, the terrain that works against my escape. Almost as if it's working with the pack to keep me prisoner. Watching as my brother's head is pulled from his body is seared into my cornea's, it will forever be a movie playing in the back of my head. A horrendous howl that sounds behind me, lets me know that my departure has finally been noticed. The game begins as it would appear.

My brother being a very smart man had started to teach me the easy ways to travel through the pack without being noticed. An underground cave system leading straight to the pack border, with it being such a steep hill, not many even remember its existence. Running for my life, I head for the forgotten tunnels, knowing that my small wolf will be able to get through the tiny passageways. With the tunnels being so old, not many know the exact entrance and exits - no one but my brother and I.
