“Woah, woah, woah, slow down!” Harry chases after me as I race over to the van. He grabs my elbow, causing me to spin around to face him, my lip trembling.
“What happened?” He tilts his head in confusion as I wipe away a stray tear. God, I’m so weak!
“Nothing,” I blurt out faster than I was meant to.
“That’s obviously not true,” he states, “So tell me what’s wrong.”
I look into his eyes, hesitant.
“We may not be related, but to me you’re still my sister, Jess,” he whimpers slightly and my walls cave in.
“I-I was so s-stupid... He laughed at me... I t-thought he was my b-boyfriend or something... But a-apparently I was w-wrong,” I admit, his eyes widening as a chuckle escapes his lips.
“Who said he wasn’t your boyfriend?” Harry raises his eyebrows and I look down at my feet.
“He did,” I whisper, right when the boys and Louis catch up to us.
“What do you mean?” Harry ignores them and I clear my throat, suddenly feeling really awkward.
“I mean what I said... Well, he meant what he said,” I avoid Louis’ gaze, climbing into the van and sitting at the furthest window seat.
The boys don’t get in for a while and I look out to see them signing autographs for fans. I would smile if I didn’t feel so shit right now.
“What did you say to her?” Harry suddenly stares Louis down, my eyes widening even more.
The fans seem to notice as they watch the two of them intensely, Harry glaring straight into Lou. If looks could kill...
“What did I say to who?” Louis scoffs slightly, raising his eyebrows at Harry.
“What the hell did you say to Jessie?! Because from her side of the story, you sounded like a complete ass!” He growls, pushing Louis tauntingly.
Ugh I hate it when people fight... Especially about me... I don’t like making best friends turn on each other (well, who does?).
“I didn’t say anything! Well I just made some stuff... Clear to her,” he shrugs, my eyes watering. A few fans spot me in the van and look at me with concerned looks while others glare at me.
“What exactly did you make clear to her?!” Harry takes a step towards him, towering over him.
“I just told her the truth,” Louis continues to dodge the topic and I cower into my seat. Please stop Harry, I don’t want to be humiliated again...
“What exactly is the truth?” Screams are heard from in the distance as more girls spot them. Okay so now I’m scared.
“She’s not my girlfriend,” he mumbles and before Harry could respond they were caught in a crowd of fans. Being shoved in the van by Paul, I find Louis sitting next to me, with Zayn next to him in the back, then in front of us are the other three, Harry far from Louis.
“I know,” I mutter and Louis turns his direction to me.
“Good,” he rolls his eyes and my blood boils. I can’t take this...
“You know what, fuck that! I don’t know what the hell she said to you but I’m not going to let you push me away and take your anger out on me because of a few words from some random girl! If a few words from her are enough for you to leave me then I’m glad our relationship, whatever it was, ended,” I stare out the window, keeping my voice monotone at the end.
Honestly, I’m lying. I would do anything to be with him... But he drew a cold card and two can play at that game.
