“Morning,” Louis grins, walking into my room at nine o’clock. I haven’t slept... I’m so tired... But most of all, I’m terrified. What if she does come like she said she would? I don’t dare look at him, staring at the wall with my eyes wide.

“Are you okay?” He questions, a humorless laugh escaping my lips. When my laughter dies down I have a sarcastic smile on my face. He sits on the end of my bed, looking concerned. “What happened?” He tilts his head in confusion.

“Really, Louis?” I laugh dryly, rolling my eyes. “So how was your night?” I ask him, sitting up in my bed. He shrugs, “Just the same old... Going to a party, getting drunk, hooking up with a random girl.” I feel like I was just punched in the heart.

“You know what, I don’t even care, okay. I just... I thought you were my friend... I thought you actually cared about me. But you don’t... And now everything is back to how it was and I’m not blaming you. Honestly, it’s my fault for being such a fuck up in the first place... Please, just get out,” I mutter, waiting for him to leave.

“I thought the nightmares went away?” He tilts his head in confusion and I run a hand through my hair. “O-only when I-I’m sleeping... With y-you,” I blush, trying to cover it up by burying my head in my pillow. “Look, I’m sorry for bailing last night, I shouldn’t have gone to that party... I honestly thought they went away,” He pouts, moving closer to me.

“It’s fine, it’s unfair of me to expect you to be here all the time. I’m just being selfish,” I smile, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. “No you aren’t. You’re scared and some stupid party isn’t worth your pain,” He lies down next to me and spoons me from behind, making me smile and blush.

“You can sleep now, I’m not going anywhere,” He whispers in my ear.
