Tessa wasn't send up to the maze regularly. The box was sent up 3 days earlier than it normally come up. She was put in the maze for the boys to find.

THE BOY HAD SPENT THE NIGHT in the slammer after he ran. the next morning Tessa joined Alby to let him out and give him the tour.
"Hey" he said as the boy backed up in fear "your not gonna run again" he said "okay?"
The boy looked scared as Ably unlocked the door and crouched in front of it "My name is Alby, and I believe you've already met Tessa here" Alby pointed to her and she gave a light smile
"Can you tell us a bit about yourself, who you are? Where you came from? Anything at all" Alby said
He trembled, trying time find the words "Can you tell us your name?" Alby asked "I-I can't remember anything" he said "why cant I remember anything?" He asked "It's okay—hey relax" Alby tried to calm the boy who was shaking "relax, it's normal. It's happens to us all. You'll get your name back in a Day or two. It's the one thing they let us keep" "What is this place?" "Let me show you" Alby held a hand out
Tessa walked beside the greenie as Alby talked about different places of the Glade "We eat here, we sleep here, we grow our plants here, food and shelter. Whatever we need, the box provides. the rest is up to us" "The box?" The boy asked "Yeah. They send it up once a month with new supplies and a new greenie. This month that's you, and uh, oddly Tessa. She got here three days ago. Congratulations" "Set up? By Who? Who put us here?" "We don't know"
"Eh you alright Alby?" Newt came towards them and ruffled Tessas hair a bit with a chuckle
"Green bean, meet Newt—he's in charge when I'm not around" Alby said "It's a good thing your always around then. listen, that was some dash you had earlier, now for a second I thought you had the chops to be a runner, until you face planted" Newt joked
"Wait, runner?" The boy asked "Do me a favour, go find Chuck" Alby said and Newt went off to find him "I'm sorry to rush this, you came up a little late, I got a lot to do—something special planned tonight"
They walked over to the 'treehouse' as Tessa called it "Hope your not afraid of heights" Tessa said before climbing the ladder all the way to the top "Let's go, come on" Alby said
"This is all we got. We worked hard for it. You respect this place, you and I will get along just fine. I'm sure you and Tessa will get along as well— she seems to have taken a liking in you already" Alby chucked as they looked back to the girl who was distracted by a butterfly that she hadn't noticed or heard anything they had said (idk if there is butterfly's in the glade but, pretend they have like little cameras on them like the beetle blades)
