Chapter 23

Tom had spent the night over after you guys got food. He said he wasn't going to let you sleep alone and was scared that something would happen to you and the baby. The next morning you both had agreed to go to the doctors to go get the paternal test done. The results would take a day or two to come in and you wanted to know as soon as possible. You had texted Richard that you were going in and if he wanted to come with you two he was more than welcome to join. He left you on delivered so whatever he can go by himself. You were so thankful that you had Tom by your side. You honestly did not know where or what you would be doing if Tom wasn't here for you. He was your rock and the biggest supporter that you had. You looked over at him while he was driving both of you to the doctors, his hand on your thigh. You grabbed his hand and gave it a small kiss. You really hoped that he was your baby's dad. But you knew that even if he wasn't he would still be in the picture. Not because he's Tom and he's a nice guy, but because you knew that he loved you a lot. Vice versa.
Once you arrived to the doctors, you were greeted by the same nurse that helped you last time,
"How are you feeling today miss y/n? Are you still nauseous?" she asked you while taking your blood pressure. You had actually started to feel better and only throwing up every other hour instead of every hour.
"Um yeah im feeling a lot better, i think i can actually feel the baby moving around. Is that normal for being this early?" you asked her. You and Tom had thought that you had felt the baby kick but you both weren't sure. She made you lay down and lifted up your shirt. Holy smokes! You didn't realize how big your belly looked. Just a week ago you didn't even know you were preganut and now you could tell that you had a small belly, mainly bloated but still there.
"Its totally normal, you'll start to feel the baby move a lot more now that you in are in your 14th week. And that really good that your nausea is going away. If i remember correctly you requested a paternity test?" she asked you while rubbing the cold gel on your belly. You flinched a little and Tom grabbed your hand and held it. You looked over and smiled at him.
"Um yes I did. This is Tom and the other person, Richard, will come in later today, not sure what time, but Tom and I can do it today." you told her.
"Okay sounds good, um Tom I can get someone to go get your blood taken or if you wanna to wait and see the baby in the ultrasound?" she asked him.
"Oh i really wanna see the baby, is it okay if i stay y/n/n?" he asked you. You looked at him, "of course," and smiled. You both watched the baby move around for an hour while your nurse talked about the baby's movements and what it meant.
While watching the baby you didnt realize that you phone was blowing up with calls and messages from Richard. After your ultrasound, you and Tom went to go do the paternity test. It took a few minutes because you also needed to get your blood drawn for some test.
After your appoinment you were feeling really tired so you guys decided to pick up some food and head back to your condo and relax. You feel asleep immediately once you got into the car and didn't even look at your phone. Tom quietly woke you up once you got home and took you to bed.
An hour later you were woken up by a bunch of louds knocks on your door. Tom quickly got up and told you to go back to sleep.
"Where the fuck is she? This is not cool Tom. I thought we were gonna be civil and do this shit the right way. You guys went behind my back." you heard Richard yelling at Tom. you started to get up from your bed, you were not gonna let Richard yell at Tom like that.
"Mate, she called and texted you TWO hours before the appointment. You didn't answer, that's on you not us." Tom told him. You sneaked up behind Tom's back and looked into the doorway and saw Richard.
"Don't come here with that bullshit excuse Rich, you knew damn well that i had an appointment today and your always on your phone so i know you saw my calls and texts. Anyway Tom got the test done and we should have that in a day or two and that'll tell us what we need." you told him while still holding onto his lower back. Richard took notice of that.
"Fine then just call me when the test comes in." he said while walking away. You rolled your eyes and closed the door.
"I can't stand him. Are you hungry cause im starving." you tell Tom. he chuckles and says "yes, lets get some food into you two."
