Time Travel and Troubles

Chapter 15 (A chance)

Me: Yo,,,it's ya boy-

Danny: *clear sarcasm* Wow, yeah, and only TWO YEARS after the last official update.

Me: Hhhnn yeah-

Danny: You are a senior now.

Me: Yeah...

Danny: Just get on with it.

Me: Okay. I don't own Danny Phantom or it's characters, they belong to Butch Hartman. I do however own Sky. Now, ONWARDS!

Recap:

"We need to get out of here soon." Danny said.

"And find past you-us-whatever, and get him out of here as well." Phantom mentioned.

"Yeah, but how?" Danny asked.

"Well they're feeding us at intervals, and I'm pretty sure the keys are on a hook by the door, so maybe find a way to get them, then get back to everyone." Phantom explained.

Danny nodded, "Now for a plan to get those keys."

Now, ONTO THE STORY!

Danny sighs, absentmindedly tugging on the chain-a habit he'd gotten into since being locked up. "Got anything?"

It had been a few days at this point and the two were no closer to freedom.

Phantom shakes his head. "Nope."

Danny scowls in annoyance, giving a particularly hard tug to the chain and feeling it snap loose.

Phantom and Danny both blink in surprise and look back at the chain.

"I-" Danny gaped, staring at the chain.

The sound of keys jingling caused Danny and Phantom to jump.

Danny quickly positioned himself to hide the broken chain as Vlad entered with a tray of food.

"Give up yet? Agree to cooperate and join us?" He asks, sliding the food in through a hatch in the cage.

Both boys glare and say in unison, "In your dreams."

Vlad sighs. "Guess you'll just have to stay here then." He turns and heads back towards the door. "It really is a shame, we could be great. I could teach you so many things Daniel, Phantom."

With one last glance over his shoulder, Vlad heads out, locking the door behind him.

Looking back at each other, they sigh in relief. Danny stands up, the chain rattling behind him.

Phantom looks up at him. "Can you use your powers yet?"

Danny shakes his head. "They're still blocked, I can feel it. But, I think I can fit through the tray slot so I can get us the keys."

Phantom nods. "Just hurry. One of them will be back soon."

Danny nods, walking to the hatch and- after managing to open it- shimmying through. Once in the open, he made his way over to the keys, trying the three until one worked to unlock the cuff on his ankle.

Phantom grins. "Awesome, now quick, do me!"

Danny snorts.

Phantom rolls his eyes. "Not what I meant, come on."

Danny chuckles softly, heading back over, but before he could even unlock the cage door, the two heard the door start to open.

"You have to go," Phantom says.

Danny blinks. "I'm not going to leave you!"

"You have to. Please. You can come back or something. But if you don't leave now, who knows what could happen?"

Danny frowns and nods. "I'll be back for you. I promise."

Phantom smiles slightly. "Stay safe. I love you."

Danny smiles slightly before phasing out and running off.

~With Sam, Tucker, and Sky~

"So if they are at Vlad's we have to figure to how to-" Sam was saying when the three heard a knock on the door.

Tucker blinks. "You expecting someone?"

Sam frowns. "No...?"

Sky walks over and opens the door.

Danny pants slightly, almost collapsing right then.

"DANNY!" Sam and Tucker say in unison.

"Holy shit-!" Sky exclaims, eyes wide.

Danny stumbles over to Sam's bed and collapses onto it, exhausted.

Sam frowns. "Are you okay? What happened? Where's Phantom?"

Danny just groans, mumbling into the bed.

Sam sighs.

Tucker frowns. "Get some rest, dude. You look like hell."

Danny nods slightly and passes out almost instantly.

The other three sigh and take a break from planning as they wait for him to wake up again.

Me: I know it's short. I'm sorry—

Danny: You gonna update this time?

Me: Yeah. I'm gonna try harder at least. I don't remember where I was going with this originally, but I'll figure it out soon hopefully.

Danny: Hopefully.

Me: Yeah...Sorry again, y'all. Anyway, that's all for now. What'd you think? Till next time, bye!
