"Do you have anymore siblings?" Jason asked.
"Just us two." Lucy answered.
They sat on the dry grass floor under the clear blue, sunny sky. Janet watched as her mother walked with Jason's mom. The park they were in was clear and huge; barely any trees just a clear patch of green grass, perfect for running around without any obstacles. At the far end, rides like swings and slides were seen.
"I have a little brother." Jason continued, "but he's at home with my dad."
"Do your parents get along?" Lucy asked.
"Lucy!" Janet called, giving Lucy the look.
"Well yeah." Jason said, "don't yours?"
"O-oh yeah!" Lucy chuckled nervously, "of course, I was just asking...because....y'know? Curious!"
Jason sighed and lay down on the grass and stared at the clear blue sky. Janet and Lucy looked down at him.
"I wish I could stop it." He muttered wondrously.
Lucy glanced at Janet and before Janet could protest to her with her facial expressions, Lucy followed him and laid next to him.
"You can't." Lucy said softly. "You can never make people like you or change their view on you no matter how hard you try, so all you need to make sure is to keep the ones that love you close."
Jason turned his head to Lucy and Lucy met his eyes the same way. Jason smiled.
"Do you love me?" He asked.
"Yes."
Jason nodded and turned back to the sky, "then I'll keep you close."
