Lindsey being back home and been a blessing for Stevie and the amount of sex they were able to have thanks to the pills that their doctor-even though they had just walked out of their final marriage counseling appointment-had given her an unlimited prescription to the Klonopin was amazing.
They seemed happier than they had in a very long time. The amount of yelling and crying that came out of counseling helped them so much when it came to their marriage that it almost felt stronger, at least in Stevie's opinion. Their appointment was at one, so Lindsey who had opted to pick Stevie up and Drop her afterward led her into Divinity and Emlyn ran right to her parents. They had left her there under the capable care of Aunt Lori, and the fact of the matter was, that Emlyn was such a different person when she was at the shop. She was only two but she loved looking at everything and asking Stevie questions. She was an insightful little child and as Stevie collected her in her arms the toddler held out a crystal-a tan crystal.
"Mama dis?" She asks in her childlike way.
"That is Gypsum. It is good for balancing energy. It provides grounding and stability, and it can last for a very long time. Would you like it?" Stevie explains taking it from the child.
Emlyn shakes her head and wiggles out of her mother's arms and goes to point at the purple amethyst crystal geode that was shaped like a heart.
"She's been staring at it all day, literally sitting in front of it since you left her here with me," Lori explains.
"Well I mean, we've got three of them in Stock...what do you think Lindsey should I take it home for her?" Stevie asks biting her thumbnail.
"I don't know Steph what is she going to do with it?" Lindsey asks.
"She won't do anything, it'll be just like my moonstone on the bookshelf in our bedroom. She's connected to it." Stevie sighs.
"What do you mean she's connected to it?" Lindsey questions crossing his arms.
"Well. I'm drawn to the moonstone. Technically a moonstone is used for inner growth and strength. But it doesn't do that to me. It calms me down and it makes me feel good about life. When she was oh, sixish weeks old we had gotten a shipment of Amethyst in, and even though she was sleeping as soon as I held one close to her because it was in my hand and I needed to shift her, she started like jumping against me but that's silly I know because she was sleeping. I took it away from her and she calmed down. Brought it back up she did that jumpy thingy again and when I put it in the baby wrap with her, she clutched it in her hand and she had a smile on her face. She's connected to the Amethyst." Stevie explains.
"I didn't believe in this stuff until I worked here and honestly Lindsey, I'm connected to the Malachite." Lori holds up her wrist where a green crystal bracelet-Malachite-was sitting.
"Well alright, I guess I haven't taken these off in four years so I say go for it." Lindsey pulls out his black tourmaline, black kyanite, and pyrite necklace that Stevie had gifted him when the shop opened.
"Mama dis?" Emlyn tugs on her skirt and Stevie goes over to the geode on the floor.
"Emmy, this is Amethyst. Can you say Amethyst?" Stevie questions tugging down her daughter's top, she was wearing a denim top paired with a pair of yellow leggings that has pink flowers on it and her brown little boots. Brown waves down laying against her shoulders.
"Am-Thyst." She tries.
"Yeah, that's pretty good. Do you like this?" Stevie questions touching the geode.
"Pwetty." She states.
"Emlyn, Amethyst relieves stress. it makes it so you're not angry anymore, and it makes you happy. Would you like this?" Stevie inquires.
"Yes, Pwease." Emlyn nods.
"Alright, good girl, you said please. Do you want to go home with daddy and take this with you?" Show him where you want to put it in your bedroom?" Stevie asks picking the geode up.
"Yes pwease."
"Alright, here Daddy," Stevie says handing the Gem to Lindsey and then picking Emlyn up. She kisses her cheek and hugs her goodbye before handing her off to Lindsey as well and before the dad and daughter leave, Lori clears her throat.
"Why don't Chris and I come over tonight and watch her and you guys go out on a date. You haven't had one of those in a while and I think you deserve one after," She lowers her voice as there are a couple of people milling about the shop, "marriage counseling."
"I'd actually kind of like that." Stevie looks at Lindsey.
"I would do, what do you say about eight, you'll still have half an hour to play with her before bed?" Lindsey questions.
"We'll be there." Lori nods.
"And where would you like to go?" Lindsey asks leaning over and kissing Stevie's head.
"I don't know surprise me." Stevie smiles.
