April 18, 1978
Lindsey was concerned plain and simple. It had been a little over two months since he last saw her, almost to the day. That's eight nights of him being stood up at the Jazz Bar and he didn't know what to think. His first thought was that he had done something wrong, but he knew that wasn't the case because he knew that what they shared was special and that last night that they had spent together where she had expressed her marriage was wrong meant the world to both of them and they both knew that. So with worrisome thoughts filling his head, he made his way to Divinity.
Upon entering the little shop, he saw Sharon at the counter and he bolted up to her. "Is Stevie doing a reading?"
"Lindsey um...no she's not, she isn't with you?" Sharon inquires.
"No, why would she be with me?" Lindsey asks.
"February 20th was the last day I saw her. She said that she was going to leave Mick and try to work out a relationship with you. She was asking me if she could move back into our apartment." Sharon looked at him.
"Sharon she's not with me. I haven't seen her since the morning of February 19th." Lindsey explains.
"Lindsey I'm worried." Sharon bites her lip.
"Why, what did you see?" Lindsey asks her.
"I haven't seen anything. But Lindsey...Mick called, he had said that she wasn't going to be in for a while because she overdosed and she was going to need some time to recover. But Lindsey I had just assumed that she was going to go recover with you." Sharon shakes her head.
"Sharon, something doesn't feel right to me." Lindsey shakes his head.
"I know...I feel uneasy too. My brother actually had an overdose and it only took him 30 days to get back to normal life...she's been gone for about 60. What can do we about it though?" Sharon gives him pleading eyes.
"I"m going to get into that house," Lindsey admits.

Calling Mick to set up an appointment to talk about signing a contract felt really uneasy to him, but that's what he did because he felt like it was the only way he was going to figure out what the hell was going on.
But as he walked in he noticed how odd the house felt. The feminine touch that had been there the first time he had come to the place for that Fleetwood Party, there was a feminine feeling to the house but this time it just felt wrong.
"So Lindsey let's talk about this deal," Mick says leading him into the office.
"Right into business then...that's a bad sign." Lindsey shakes his head.
"Oh?" Mick inquires.
"I like to get to know people before I talk about business. Usually, I come over to their house, they feed me a meal and we just talk like old friends...at least that's what my current manager does. And his wife even joins in on the conversation. Say...where is your lovely wife. She must really love you, I've seen your pictures in magazines. She looks great on you." Lindsey tries not to vomit at the words coming out of his mouth.
"Oh, she's at work." Mick states.
"She works, I didn't think she did." Lindsey shakes his head.
"She does. She owns Divinity." Mick replies.
"Oh yes, I know that place. I've been there a few times...it's...it's funny though because they close at six and it's going on eight now." Lindsey had purposely told Mick to meet at a later time because he had a feeling that Mick was going to say that exact line and he was starting to believe that maybe Stevie's magic shit wasn't shit at all.
"You caught me. She's not at work. She had an overdose on cocaine about two months ago and the overdose opened her eyes so she decided that the best course of action was to go to rehab. After Rehab she decided that it would be best to go visit her family to recenter herself." Mick explains.
"Oh, where are your inlaws from?" Lindsey asks.
"Oh um...agh, they um...they live in Aspen, yeah Aspen they love the snow." Mick nods, that was a blatant lie. Stevie had told Lindsey that her family lived in Scottsdale Arizona and that they love the heat, her father even had a great grandfather that was of Mexican origin and had claimed a stake in Arizona and Texas.
"I see, could you excuse me for a minute, I was wondering if I could use the restroom."
"Oh, absolutely it's right off the kitchen." Mick points.
"Thank you so much." Lindsey nods.
Lindsey makes his way to the kitchen scouring for a maid and as luck would have it one of them was standing right in the kitchen.
"Oh hello, I'm Lindsey Buckingham I'm here on a business meeting with Mick." He holds his hand out.
"My name is Charlamagne. It's nice to meet you." She smiles sweetly.
"Charlamagne, can you tell me something please." Lindsey pleads.
"Well, I will try." She shrugs.
"Do you know where Stephanie Fleetwood is I had a question for her pertaining to her shop? I absolutely love it there, it's so warm and welcoming."
"I've never been...but I'm not sure, Mistress Fleetwood hasn't been around that much. I know she was taken by ambulance on February 20th. I was the one that had to let them in." She looks down sadly.
"Oh, is she okay? What happened?" Lindsey inquires.
"I'm not entirely sure what happened. Master Fleetwood said that she fell down the stairs and she had an overdose but I don't believe it." Charlamagne shrugs.
"Oh?" Lindsey asks.
"I think he pushed her. I remember a lot of yelling and something about infidelity and then I remember him calling Crossley medical center telling them she was going there...but I really shouldn't be telling you this." She quickly scurries away and Lindsey turns around to be met by Mick Fleetwood.
"So she's at Crossley huh...what did you do to her?" Lindsey pushes.
"I didn't do anything to her." Mick states.
"She was taken by Ambulance which obviously means something happened to her."
"Yes she was in a drugged-out craze and she tore up our house, overdosed, and fell down the stairs. She went to Crossley to recover." Mick explains.
"Why don't I believe you. Because I sure as shit don't believe you in the slightest." Lindsey growls.
"Fine, she didn't overdose. But she did admit to your affair. So she was sent to an elite facility to not only work on herself but also making it up to her adoring husband. I was trying to keep it quiet to protect her virtue" Mick puts on a sickening smile.
"Cut the shit, Mick. I know your marriage was a contract and she was forced into it. I also know that you broke the contract. She loves me, Mick. You know it and I know it. So you bet your ass I'll find her." Lindsey warns.
"Sure you will. Do you even know where Crossley is?" Mick crosses her arms.
"It doesn't mean that I can't find it," Lindsey replies.
"Sure. Now get your ass out of my house. And if you so much as come in contact with her I will make you suffer and I will end your career." Mick's British accent gets thicker the more he threatens Lindsey.
As Lindsey leaves Mick's house he cries, and Lindsey doesn't cry. But he cries because he's scared for Stevie's life and he knows that he needs to find her and he needs to do it relatively quickly.
