Walking into the private beach, Stevie's heart fluttered, it wasn't the same private beach where they had spent their first-ever proper date together but it was a private beach none the less. It was about a mile from their house so they didn't walk to it, but once they got there Lindsey had to sign some things and show his ID, and then they were let in. There weren't too many people around, but there were some, and Lindsey and Stevie waved to a couple that they had passed heading more towards a secluded spot.
"Lindsey this is gorgeous." Stevie smiles.
"Well, I figured, that this was kind of the place where our relationship started-I mean on a beach-so what better way to get back to our roots so to speak then to come back to a beach," Lindsey explains.
"I think it's perfect and you managed to get us Chinese take out so that means you cooked me dinner and I appreciate it, I really do...Mmm, but let's not have sex on the beach this time. Let's save that for when we get home to OUR bed." Stevie wraps her arms around his middle and giving him a quick peck before descending down onto the sand.
"Yeah, that's smart it's a private-public beach and it's not on my direct property so I don't want us to get arrested for indecent exposure," Lindsey smirks.
"I miss that house." Stevie sighs.
"What?" He asks.
"Yeah. I miss it being on the beach, We could open up our balcony doors and we could see, smell, and hear the ocean. I miss it being closer to work, but I love our house. Because we picked it out together and I love that it's bigger than the other house. I love that Roxy and Emmy actually have a backyard and a pool at this house. But I do miss opening the door and seeing all of that you know, but at the same time we can still hear and smell the ocean." Stevie shrugs.
"So you're happy with where we are we don't have to move again?" Lindsey chuckles.
"Well, maybe in five years. I'm a creature of environment." Stevie shrugs."I know you rearrange our furniture at least once a month," Lindsey explains sitting on the sand with her and pulling her into his arms.

They did make love when they got home, but as Lindsey was going to initiate a round two, Stevie stopped him and told him to wait before going into the bathroom. She collected herself for a while and then she went to pop a pill as Lindsey opened the bathroom door.
"Steph, what is that?" He asks looking at the wite small thing in her hand.
"Nothing it's nothing Lindsey." She urges.
"No Steph, that's something. I came in here to see if you were alright. I didn't hear any water or anything so I was worried about you, but here I see you popping a pill. Are you using again?" Lindsey questions.
"I'm not...it's not what you think. It's not cocaine or anything." She shakes her head.
"But what is it?"
"It's...Dr. Green gave it to me. It calms me down and Lindsey's it's what's been allowing us to have such great sex because when I take it, it relaxes me and I don't go back to the place." Stevie explains.
"So you have to take a pill to have sex with me...that's a wonderful thought." Lindsey spits.
"No, it's not like that it calms me down." She shakes her head.
"IT'S A FUCKING SEDATIVE!"
"MAYBE IT IS, BUT YOU CAN'T TELL ME THAT IT HASN'T DONE WONDERS FOR OUR MARRIAGE. WE CAN HAVE ALL THE FUCKING SEX THAT YOU WANT." Stevie states.
"It's not about Sex Stevie. You're an addict." He spits.
"I'm not an addict," Stevie growls.
"Did you or did you not get addicted to Cocaine?"
"My addiction wasn't that bad though." Stevie pouts.
"What was the first thing you thought of when you woke up?"
"Cocaine."
"What was the last thing you thought of before you went to bed?"
"Well if I was with you, I thought about you and making a future with you. But if I was with Mick I thought about Cocaine."
"There you go...an addict. And this fucking pill is going to do the same thing to you. And I don't wanna see it again." Lindsey growls snatching it out of her hand and throwing it right into the toilet, flushing it for good measure. He would've dumped the whole bottle if he knew where it was but he didn't see a pill bottle, just the little pill in her hand.
"Nothing is going to happen Lindsey." She shakes her head.
"How many have you had today?" Lindsey crosses his arms.
"I...Lindsey, it's my prescription Dr. Green said to take as needed." She sighs.
"So how many have you taken?"
"Well I mean, I had one this morning and I had one before we went out and I had one when we got back so we could make love and I was going to take another one so we could go for that second round that you wanted." She looks down at her hands.
"Four...that's four fucking pills. Three in the span of five hours. I can't...I can't watch you do that again so I'm taking Emlyn and I'm going." Lindsey spits turning around roughly.
"You can't take my baby from me." She grabs at him.
"I don't want my daughter around a tranquilized mother, because what happens if you take just one too many of those pills at the same time and you forget what you were doing. You've told me countless times that when they sedated you at Crossley you'd get heavy and hazy. I don't want you to get hazy with Emlyn under your care. What if you forget to turn the oven off and a fire starts, what if you forget you're burning a candle and it catches on fire, what happens if you lose track of her and she gets out, she goes towards the pool she falls in, she drowns. Do you want that on your conscience?" Lindsey crosses his arms.
"It was the shock that made me hazy not the sedative." Stevie defends.
"Do you know that for a fact?"
"Well I...I...no, because they happened at the same time but...but you can't take my baby from me."
"Stevie." Lindsey starts.
"Please Lindsey, don't take her. I'll stop I promise I'll stop," Stevie begs.
"You flush them out right now and Emlyn and I will stay." Lindsey looks at her and she does. She flushes them and then Lindsey just wraps his arms around her.
