June 6, 1980

It had been a little over a week since Stevie started detoxing and Lindsey was more glad than ever that he had come home. Her detox from Klonopin was awful. She was having night sweats to the point where she'd soak their bed at night. She was throwing up constantly to the point where several times she had heaved her throat bloody. And her muscles would spasm as if she was receiving the electroshock again not to mention the cramps in her hands and legs that Lindsey would end up massaging them.

Emlyn didn't understand what was happening with her mother but it was weird because she knew what she needed.

Every day, Emlyn would crawl in the bed with her mother and she'd drop these gems right on her mother's stomach. Stevie would move a shaky hand and spread them out along her body but it was enlightening because Stevie had never taught her anything about that.

Emlyn would drop Obsidion, which is used to ease Muscle Cramps and pain. Amethyst which also eases pain, Moonstone, Ruby which though brings about the urge for sex, also releases toxins from her body and Lindsey will admit that despite Stevie's ailings, she had gotten very hormonal and sexy with Lindsey and at one point even going as far as to mount Lindsey after he had put Emlyn down for a nap,  and at first, he was taken back but she managed to get them to climax and though she threw up right afterward, they talked about it laying in bed and she came to the realization that she didn't need the pill to have sex with him and it all had been in her head. The trauma, and the need for relaxation through sedation.

Stevie was thrashing around in the bed and Lindsey was dabbing her head with a wet cloth. It was broaching two in the morning and it had been a rough night. She was sobbing and Lindsey didn't know what to do.

"Steph, what do you want?" He asks.

"Em. Em. Em. Em." She states.

"You want Emlyn? Is that a good idea?" He asks as she scratches her skin bloody.

"Em." Stevie nods fighting herself.

"Alright, I'll go get her. I'll go get her." Lindsey states.

He walks into the almost three-year-old's bedroom and collects her out of the brand new toddler bed and goes to move her to the big bed.

"Daddy?" She asks having woken from her slumber.

"Yeah Emlyn...Momma's sick and she wants to cuddle you okay?" Lindsey asks.

"Otay Daddy." She yawns closing her eyes against Lindsey's shoulder.

He takes her back into the bedroom and then places her next to Stevie who immediately latches around her and Lindsey can sense that though she's tense she has calmed down. As he watches the two of them together he realizes that she needed something to do with her hands, and that's why she had scratched her skin so much it was peeling off. And when her hands were holding her daughter she was tempted to scratch at herself.  Stevie eventually calms down with her baby in her arms and then Lindsey crawls back into bed holding both of-all three of-his girls in his arms kissing their mother's head.

Lindsey is woken up a couple of hours later to the sound of Stevie throwing up in the bathroom. He looks down and notices Emlyn sleeping on his chest and he sighs before moving her into the middle of the bed and going into the bathroom.

He takes her hair from her hands and she shakes her head. "You don't need to see this." She sniffles.

"Shhh." Lindsey scolds as she continues to puke into the toilet.

When she's done she falls back into Lindsey's arms. "When'll this end Lindsey?" She asks.

"Honey, I think I should take you to a hospital." Lindsey sighs.

"NO, I need to do this myself." She states.

"I'm worried about you two though. You can barely keep any food down and I know that that's not good for either of you."

"I don't want to go to a hospital Lindsey." She shakes her head.

"Alright, we won't go but I am worried about you." He states.

"You don't have to be. I'll be fine." Stevie sniffles into his chest.

"But I'm your husband, it's my job to worry. Are you good, do you want to go back to our baby girl in bed?" He asks.

"Yeah, why is she in the bed with us?" Stevie asks.

"You don't remember do you?" He asks.

"I don't what happened is she okay?"

"She is...you are not. You were begging for her and as soon as I laid her in the bed you latched onto her like she was your lifeline." Lindsey explains.

"Oh, I...I didn't remember." She shakes her head.

"That's okay, it's okay...come on let's go back to bed." Lindsey helps her up.

"I love you, thank you for being here with me." She mumbles.

"I love you too Angel, with my whole heart." Lindsey kisses her.

When they crawl back in bed, Emlyn awakens and she looks up at her mother and then down at Stevie's stomach, and then she crawls onto Stevie's thighs, and she lays her head on Stevie's stomach.

"Hi, Sissy. Wuv You." And as the words come out of her child's mouth a sudden wave of emotion overcomes her and she looks at Lindsey taking his hand. But she squeezes it tightly and Lindsey knows just by the look on her face that she's experiencing one of those cramps.

"Arm or Leg?" Lindsey asks.

"Stomach." She whimpers.

Lindsey immediately plucks Emlyn up and then he calls Ray. Emlyn starts crying at the abrupt intrusion-she was perfectly content talking to her sister but Lindsey settled her in her own bed and though she pouted, she fell asleep. As soon as Ray arrived, however, they were on their way to the hospital, Stevie's hand plastered the whole time to her barely-there bump.

Arriving at the Hospital, Lindsey had divulged that she was detoxing, and the pains that she was feeling as Stevie was locked in her own head not even associating with the doctors, but what made Lindsey the angriest is that he wasn't allowed back there as they were examining her.

"Mr. Buckingham," A doctor calls as Lindsey shoots up and goes over to them.

"The baby is fine. Mrs. Buckingham's not happy though. We have her hooked to an IV she's severely dehydrated and we believe that it has to deal with the detox as well. She wasn't happy about the IV saying she uses Crystals, but we had to do it. We also suggested that she finish out her detox here." The Doctor explains.

"That's what I said but she wasn't too happy about that insinuation." Lindsey sighs.

"I know, that's what I mean when I said that she wasn't happy. You can go on back and see her." The doctor points to the doors.

"Thanks, what room?"

"1025." He nods.

When Lindsey walks into the room, she's laying there with the IV in her arm and she immediately scooches over and pats the spot next to her on the bed.

"She's okay Steph." He kisses her head.

"I know, but it was so scary not knowing." She sighs.

"You'll be okay." Lindsey nods.

"They gave me an anti-nausea. I'm so sleepy though." She replies.

"Then close your eyes and go to sleep." Lindsey urges.
