AMELIA
After leaving the house to go to the sandlot I took my guitar with me to show the boys some sounds. Opening the door I waited for someone to ask me where I was going. No one cared, like always. I shrugged and left my house.
"Shit...The party." I stopped walking deciding if I should practice or go to the sandlot. Bertram's brother was having a party tonight at his place.
"I'll just leave early..." I continued walking to the sandlot."Amelia!" The boys were sitting in the dugout. Benny didn't seem very excited to see me like the rest of the boys. I made my way to them.
"Woah, that's your guitar?" Tommy pointed at my arm where I was holding it.
"That's your guitar?" Timmy repeated.
"Oh, umm yeah." I put it in front of me so they can take a better look at it."That's sick." Kenny said leaning in.
"Yeah Yeah, it matches your eyes."
I smiled.BENNY
"She's here." Bertram elbowed me.
I still haven't changed my mind about her.
"Amelia!" The boys yelled her name as she walked towards us. Our eyes connected as she came to the dugout. I always tried to not fall for her cause she's Philips sister. The boys even started to look up to her more than they did to me. I wasn't jealous... well maybe a bit. I was zoning out and didn't realize that she was right in front of me.
"...it matches your eyes." Yeah Yeah was right. The blue guitar matched her big blue eyes. She seemed very appreciative about all these compliments. Like if she isn't used to people admiring her. She's those type of people who is always there for others but no one is there for her. I already know what she goes through without even asking her. I can see right through people. Philips probably makes her life 10x worse.AMELIA
I sat down next to Ham. The boys wanted to see so they stood up in front of me leaving Benny at the end of the bench. I played a little tune. Every time I would play something they seemed so interested.
"Bertram?" I turned to my left side to where he was sitting.
"Yeah?" He answered.
"You don't mind if the boys come to the party tonight do you? So they can see me preform." Those parties were pretty pg-13, so I wasn't sure if they could come.
"Umm..." He thought for a second.
"We'll have to keep them away from the drinks." He chuckled. Me and Kenny did too.
"What time does it end?" Ham asked.
"Until everyone is gone." I answered back. They didn't seem very convinced.
"Usually at 12." I corrected myself.
The boys looked at each other.
"Ok, my mom will probably want me to be back home at 7."
"You just want to eat dinner." Squints said squinting his eyes. No wonder they called him Squints.
"Shut up." Ham pushed Squints lightly.
"I'll be there." Kenny said.
"Raise your hand if you're coming." Bertram said raising his hand. We all did except for Benny.
"Benny? Are coming with us?" Kenny shook Benny's shoulder. He rolled his eyes.
"Come on!" They all yelled at Benny.
"Fine." He rose his hand.BENNY
I regret even coming to the party. It's so useless. We just came to see Amelia. She's not even that special. Well... She is kinda like a big sister to the boys. Every sense she came, the boys seemed less bored and more happy. Maybe I was forcing them too much in to playing baseball. I felt stupid switching up on her.
