You and Me Against The World (P. Kane)

Welcome Back

A/N: Okay so I am just gonna skip ahead of when she leaves to go the trip. I am just gonna start it off when she gets back. I don't really feel the need to put that in this chapter and I don't want to bore you guys so yeah(:

Roses POV

I got off the plane and went to grab my luggage. It seemed like the trip lasted for a LOONG time. It was awesome that Patrick kept texting me throughout it though. I missed him.

I walked out of the airport, suitcase in hand and went to find my car. I had Jonny and Patrick drop it off earlier.

I finally found it after having to text them both a million times. When I got there they were sitting in my car.

"What the hell are you guys still doing here? I asked you to drop it off not stay in the car and wait for me," I said chuckling as I put my suitcase in the trunk.

"Well we missed you so we decided to stay," Patrick said engulfing me into a big hug.

I wrapped my arms tightly around him never wanting to let go. It felt so right. I still don't know if me and him are together or not. He hasn't exactly asked me so I am guessing thats a no.

"I really missed you," He whispered in my ear so that Jonny couldn't hear, only I could.

I kissed him on the cheek and then went to Jonny.

"You are never allowed to leave us again!" He said starting to fake cry. I love the realtionships me and the guys have.

I just giggled and rolled my eyes. We hopped into the car and we were on our way back to my house.

"So Rose, do you wanna come to our game tonight? We are going against Arizona," Patrick asked as we got off the highway.

"I would love to," I said smiling at him.

"That great. We still have a while so you can hang around at your house for a bit and then on our way to the UC I will come by and pick you up," He said resting his hand on my knee.

"Sounds like a plan," I said resting my head on his shoulder. I was really tired. For some reason I didn't get very much sleep on my trip.

"You can take a nap until I come and get you," He said kissing my forehead .

"Okay, love." I said letting out a yawn.

"We are here," He said getting out to grab my bag.

"I can take it," I said trying ot get it from him.

"No, you can go and lay down and I will be in there in a minute after I am done putting some of this away," He said nudging me to go inside.

I walked inside and went straight to my bedroom. I layed down on my bed and closed my eyes. Soon after that I felt my bed dip in on one side.

I felt Kaner scoop me up so that I was rested on his chest.

"You need to get some rest, you have a big night tonight," He said kissing the top of my head.

"Hey Kaner?" I asked nervously.

"Yes?" He said taking a deep breath. I could hear his heart beating.

"What are we?" I asked closing my eyes. I felt his heart speed up instantly.

"I don't know," He said giving me another kiss on the head and then setting me down gently on the bed. "I'll see you tonight, beautiful."

With that he was gone.

Patricks POV

I was really nervous on my way to go get Rose. When she asked me what we were my heart started beating really fast. I hope she didn't notice.

When I pulled up to the now familiar driveway I took a deep breath before opening the car door.

I walked really slowly to the door and when I got there it swung open before I even had a chance to knock.

"I missed you," She said jumping into my arms.

I held her oh so closely never wanting to let her go. I rubbed the small of her back and we just stayed like that. It was nice.

"If we don't leave now we will never get to the game on time," I whispered in her ear rubbing her arm.

"I know, I just really wanna be by you," She said hugging me tighter then letting me go altogether.

I grabbed her hand and walked her to the passenger side of my car.

I walked around to the other side quickly and put the car in drive. She didn't live that far from the UC. We got there in about 5 minutes time. Me holding her hand the entire way.

I can't wait until tonight.

We got there and I brought her to her seat. She sat down and smiled at me. I smiled back and then went to the locker room.

"Are you nervous?" Jonny asked as I slipped on my Jersey.

"I am so freaking nervous. What if she says no?" I asked starting to second guess this.

"I know she will say yes. She talks about you all the time when we text. She couldn't live a day without you," He said nudging my arm.

"Okay boys! Its game time!" Said Coach Q clapping his hands together.

I walked out onto the ice after captain Toews and the crowd went wild. They were clapping and cheering and everything was perfect.

"Will everyone please join us for the Star Spangled Banner." Said the voice over the intercom.

Oh, say can you see..

Everyone went nuts as we all sung the last line of the Star Spangles Banner like they normally do.

"Now! We have a very special announcement from our own captain himself, and Mr. Patrick Kane!" Said the voice again.

The crowd went wild and I never knew they could be this loud. We should really do this more often.

"Me and Patrick have something to say," Jonny said through a microphone in the middle of the ice.
