Prologue

ARTEMIS

I am different. We are different, and our world is different. Yup, I definitely know that. I am living in a different way because we are not an ordinary people.

I lived in a place where impossible things happened. A world where no one thought that would exist. It is called Encantaria.

I was born to be a water holder but I would rather live as a normal human being. I want to live a normal life, but the destiny won't let me.

I sighed as I watch the moon shine in the middle of the darkest night. I always admire it ever since child, and I don't know why. Siguro dahil Artemis ang pangalan ko? Goddess of the moon?

I don't think so.

"Artemis,"

My heart jump upon hearing his voice. Slightly nervous, I turned around to meet his cold gaze. I smiled a little, trying to hide the awkwardness and the fast beating of my silly heart.

"Your Mom is looking for you."

He said, hands on the pocket. I glanced at the moon once again and smiled even though I know it won't return the favor.

I stood up at pinagpagan ang sarili. My heart is still beating rapidly. Actually, it's always like this everytime I'm near with him.

And I don't think it's still normal.

Tumalikod na sya at nagsimulang maglakad. Nakasunod lamang ako sa kanya at tinititigan sya sa likod.

Ever since child, I always felt this weird feeling. The unknowm connection. I thought it was just a sign of idolizing someone but as I grew, it became more defined. Bold.

If someone is capable of identifying what kind of emotional distress is this....I would like to knows. Because just like the moon, it is connected yet unreachable.
