Annabeth's POV

"You are so going down, Jackson." I narrowed my eyes at Percy as he leaned over the table towards me.

"We'll see about that Chase," he muttered, his sea-green eyes piercing mine. Not going to lie, he was kind of intimidating, but we would have to fall into Tartarus before I ever admitted that to Percy.

Oh wait, we already did.

Well, he's so hot when he scares me.

"Please," I scoffed. "You don't scare me."

Yeah right.

"Lies." Percy smirked and leaned back against his seat, his stance relaxed and arms crossed. He gave me a smug smile as he rubbed his hands together and tapped his fingers on the table to create a beat.

How could someone look so hot and be so distracting? How was that even fair? I was definitely going to lose if I continued to get distracted by the likes of my infuriatingly hot boyfriend.

"Anyways," I said, trying to change the subject before I pounced on him for a heated makeout session in the outdoor seating area of an Indian restaurant. "What do you want to eat? I'm letting you choose because I know I'm gonna win."

"Hah, you're funny." Percy wagged his finger at me and shook his head in disbelief. "I don't wanna eat something too unhealthy if we're gonna be eating a lot of it."

"True," I agreed. I did not want to feel like shit when I woke up the next morning. I already felt terrible enough having to get out of bed before 12 pm.

"Since we're at an Indian restaurant, do you want to try Pani Puri?" I questioned, flipping through the menu. It looked so good.

"I'm down. It's probably not the healthiest option, but I love that stuff," Percy grinned, showing off his delicious smile that made me want to-

Stop.

"Alright, it's settled. Pani Puri it is." I beckoned for the waitress to come over. Her eyes lit up as she saw our table, and she skipped over.

"What can I get for you?" she asked, not even looking at me but directly at Percy instead. I raised my eyebrows at her but didn't say anything. I noticed the bored expression on Percy's face as he picked at the wood on the table. He's so cute and childish; he didn't even realize that this boyfriend-stealing idiot was trying to get his attention. His cheeks were puffed out, his eyebrows were furrowed, he nibbled on his lower lip gently, and he and his concentration face were just too cute for me to handle.

"Excuse me, sir," the girl said again, trying to get Percy's attention. He looked up finally, his expression panicked and eyes wide.

What's going on?, he asked me with his eyes.

I stifled a giggle. She's flirting with you, I tried to say back.

Oh. He looked back at her and gave her a confused smile, rubbing the back of his neck. I saw his shirt ride up and holy yumminess-

STOP.

The waitress, delighted to have his attention, smiled. "What can I get for you?"

"Um, I think we want- uh, what do we want again?" Percy whispered to me. I shrugged and smiled, finding his confusion adorable.

The girl looked over as if noticing me for the first time.

Girl, I'm the one who called you over here.

"Pani Puri," I told Percy.

"Yeah, that," Percy said, pointing to me.

"There's 10 on each plate. How many plates would you like, sir?" the waitress asked. She stood closer to my boyfriend and put her filthy hands on his shoulder, rubbing and squeezing it gently. "We bring it fresh too, for your pleasure of course," she said, her voice becoming what she thought was sultry but really just made her sound like an idiot. I'm sure she was not just talking about the food when she said that line.
