Slowly i walked across the school yard towards my form room , where i had detention, i didn't know what time my father would be home so i was dreading being an hour late.
"Good Kayden , you're on time for once" Mr Macallun snarled befor he left. i couldn't leave before my hour was up because you never know when he would come back.
i sat down in my seat and put my head on the desk hoping my dad wouldn't get home before me.
Alfie's POV
i had manged to get myself a detention in maths , which was what i had wanted as i had heared that Kayden had detention to, as i walked in to the class room i saw her sitting at her desk with her head down. Her hair was dangling over the edge of the desk but her eyes were closed like she was sleeping.
"wake up, sleepy head " i wispered, but she didn't answere so i guessed she was really asleep.
i reached over to tap her but stopped my self because of how peacefull she looked , her skin was pale but her cheeks were slightly pink and her hair brushed out of her face for a change . i sat down behind her wondering why someone so pretty always coverd their face. however my thoughts were interupted by mumbling , slowly i leaned closer to kayden to see what she was saying and then i saw it.
All round the back of her ear was cut and bruised , she had scars going from her neck right past her hair line and she had bruises round her neck like someone had tried to strangle her.
shocked i jumped back falling off my chair, i hit the floor with a thud.the noise woke Kayden up and she turned around sleepy and disorientated. her hair fell back around her face so as any sign of bruising was hidden.
"what are you doing here" she asked
i couldn't answere , i was so shocked i couldn't even stand up. what the hell had happened to her.
"whats wrong with you" she asked suspiciously
quickly i stood up so as i was right in front of her; her eyes avoiding mine , her lips slightly parted and her hair covering the sides of her face aging.
"nothing " i said before walking out .
