y/n pov * ◌༉‧
walking into the slytherin common room, i saw nathan and stella sitting on the couches.
"you don't look too good, what's wrong?" stella asked.
"draco and i were talking during the entire class, and my father said if he ever sees me talking to him again, i'll be pulled out of hogwarts," i told them.
"what!" nathan and stella yelled together, drawing the attention of the other students before they quickly sat back down.
"that's rubbish," nathan said, crossing his arms.
"draco is a good guy," i said, "but i have to avoid him. i don't want to risk any trouble."
"no, there has to be a way," stella said.
"no, it's okay, guys," i said, walking away to my dorm.
stellas pov
"what the hell," nathan said.
"i like them together though," i pouted.
"you do too? i thought i was the only one," nathan said as i laughed with him. then we saw draco coming down from his dorm.
"shh!" i said to nathan before draco sat on the couch.
"hey," he greeted us.
"hello," i greeted back.
"have you guys seen y/n? i want to talk to her," draco asked.
"uh..." nathan turned to me.
"no idea," i said, shrugging my shoulders.
"she's a pretty nice girl to talk to. pansy is so annoying i want to rip my ears out," draco said as we laughed.
"y/n is different. she's really good at making conversation and she makes me feel safe," draco said. nathan and i looked at each other in shock.
"malfoy, do you have a crush on the new girl?" we asked.
"no!" draco blushed and stood up, walking away.
"no way!" i said. nathan and i both ran up to the dorm.
y/n's pov
i was lying on my bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking about what my father said until i heard the door open. i sat up and saw stella and nathan enter.
"we've got to tell you something!" nathan said as stella closed the door.
"what is it?" i asked.
"draco might have a crush on you!" nathan said, making my heart race.
"you're lying," i said.
"no, we asked him and he blushed! he blushed!" stella told me.
"i just got here. he's really nice," i said.
"but you already got to know who he is, right?" nathan asked.
"i mean, yeah," i said as they sighed.
"what about you guys go to the astronomy tower at seven pm before dinner?" stella suggested.
"wait, that's actually a good idea!" i said.
"perfect! let's go now; class is over," nathan said.
"how are we going to get up there without my father noticing?" i asked.
"i got it. nathan, go with y/n, then i'll go with draco," stella said. i nodded, took off my robe, and left with nathan.

"the astronomy tower is quite nice," i said, looking around.
"very. okay, they should be here any minute. i'll go. good luck," nathan said, high-fiving me and leaving me by myself. i was admiring the view when i heard a cough. i turned around and saw draco.
"oh, hi!" i said, laughing.
"i was looking for you, but thank goodness stella brought me up here," draco laughed. i laughed with him as we sat down, chatting about ourselves.
"you're very interesting," he said as i laughed at his comment.
"you're not too bad yourself," i smiled at him.
"people say you're a bad person, but to me, you're pretty nice," i told him. he smiled.
"thank you. i've never been too nice to anyone," he said. i chuckled. it was getting very cold, and i was freezing. i kept talking to him, and i guess he noticed i was shivering.
"you're freezing," he said.
"no, it's okay. it's my fault. i should've brought my hoodie," i said, but instead, he took off his robe and put it over me.
"thank you," i smiled, admiring his eyes.
"no problem," he smiled back at me.
"come on, let's go before your father finds out," draco said. then we heard footsteps coming up. we saw nathan, stella, and pansy.
"bloody hell, what is she doing here?" i asked angrily.
"no questions. your father is coming up. you better hide," stella said. i quickly ran with nathan behind the wall.
"where is she?" i heard my father say.
"i don't know. i told you she's in the common room studying!" i heard stella say.
nathan and i peeked out, seeing my father, stella, draco, and pansy.
"draco, if i ever see you near my daughter, i will kill you," i heard my father say.
"really think i want to get with her? i'm already with pansy," i heard draco say. my heart raced. i didn't know if he really meant that or if it was just to cover up.
nathan and i looked at each other in shock. i sighed quietly, looking down at the floor. i took off the robe, waiting for my father to leave.
i saw him give a death glare at draco before leaving.
"wait, what you said just now, was that true?" i asked.
"yes, it is!" i heard pansy say, then she pulled him into a kiss. my eyes widened, then i sighed.
"uh, here," i said, avoiding his eyes, giving back his robe, and leaving with nathan and stella.
"i'm so sorry," stella said. i sighed, walking down the steps.
