The drive to hers was excruciating. She stole kisses from me at every red light and I traced all her tattoos with my finger which gave her goosebumps. We stop out the front of her house and she leans over to cup my cheek and kiss me. She helps me out of the car and we gather the food from her boot. We walk up the steps to her front door and I stop to close the front gate. I hear a male voice as G gets closer to the door "Took your damn time". "Fuck off, Dave" she responds without looking in any particular direction. I walk up the steps behind her. "Ohh" a male voice to the right says "Now I see why" the voice laughs. I look closer and see a lit cigarette moving in the dark. "Sophie, Dave. Dave, Sophie" G says unlocking the door and stepping inside. I wave in the direction of the voice and cigarette and follow G inside. She dumps the leftover food in the kitchen and turns to me. She grabs my waist with both her hands and pulls me in for a kiss. I wrap my arms around her neck and kiss her back. The front door crashes closed and Dave lets out a wolf whistle. We both let go of each other and turn to look at him. I can finally see him clearly now. He's a shorter guy with shaggy hair. He wears a t-shirt underneath a checkered shirt with baggy jeans and thick runners. Classic stoner kid vibes. "Get a room!" He says to us.

G rolls her eyes at his words and takes my hand. She leads me towards the back of the house and down a flight of carpet lined stairs. She lets my hand go when we reach the bottom of the stairs "Well, this is it" she says waving her hands around. She dumps the backpack on the floor near the foot of the stairs. I stop walking to take in the room she's led me to. It's a living room with a bronze coloured drum kit in the corner of the room, a keyboard next to it and an acoustic guitar next to that. There's a couch in front of the drums and a television screen with a desk featuring a laptop behind the couch. Two closed doors stand off to the left. "You sleep in here?" I ask dumbly. She laughs and pushes open the far closed door. That must be her bedroom. She walks in and turns on a lamp beside her bed. She flicks her shoes off and lays down on the bed. She motions for me to join her so I close the door behind me and take my own shoes off. I go one step further and shimmy out of my jeans. She raises her eyebrows, sits up on her elbows and watches me undress. I move on top of her and she squeezes my thighs. She bites her lip and looks away. "Are you sure you're OK after that guy..." she trails off. "Mmhmm" I say leaning down to kiss her jaw. "You're worrying me" she tells me. "I'm on top of you, half naked, kissing you and you want to talk?" I say leaning back to a sitting position. She laughs, "Come here then" she says pulling my arm causing me to fall on top of her.

She kisses me and her tongue explores my mouth while her hands explore my lower back and ass. I tug on her t-shirt and pull it up. She helps me take it off her and only breaks the kiss to take it off over her head. We hear muffled loud hardcore music playing and I pull back slightly to see her rolling her eyes again. I sit back as she reaches onto her bedside table for a remote. She presses the power button and a song begins to play. She turns the music up so it overpowers the other music being played. She cups my cheek and moves her body up to me to continue kissing. She turns her body and flips us over so now she's on top. She leans her face down to mine and I lift mine to hers. She hesitates before meeting my lips. "I could get used to this" she says and smiles. I giggle and blush at her words. I hate to say that Alex was right. Getting on someone else's train is exactly what I needed. I just didn't think that I would fall so hard so quickly and for someone who I think feels the same and is even possibly in the same boat as me with her ex. I can't help but contemplate G and her actions which starts me overthinking the situation. I look into her eyes and cup her face. "What's wrong?" She says and her face changes to worry. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing" I say to her lifting my head to kiss her. I feel her smile into my mouth as she kisses me back. Nothing. Absolutely nothing is wrong with this, with her, with this moment. I melt into her touch and kisses.
