Dansoa's POV
It seems that my discovery of Uno has changed the lives of the Dwarves. It's either the way to easy money, or the way to debt. I wisely have stayed out of the latter. I just don't play. Shania stopped playing after Balin nearly drained her dry. Laura plays every now and then. Abi played once with Ori and somehow managed to win. She hasn't played since, even though Fílí and Kílí have tried to get her to play. But she saw that set up a mile away. She said and I quote.
"Yeah nah, I'm gonna keep my money, I can see what you two are trying to do and it's a major dick move, so stop, I'm not falling for your fiend innocence," it left them speechless, probably due to her use of, in their minds, foul language. They really should be used to it by now.
Every now and then I can see Abi planning her revenge on Dwalin and Kílí. You can see the cogs in her head turning, I wonder what she'll come up with, it will probably be horrible. I spend most of my time with the other girls and Ori. Ori has been teaching me their language secretly. Also recently Fílí and Kílí have been trying to get me to play Uno with them.
"Come on Dansoa, you haven't played a single game since you found it," Kílí wined.
"And I wonder why I have all my money," I replied.
"Come on one game can't hurt," Fílí tried.
"It will hurt my pocket, I know how the game works, you two will gang up on me and don't try to deny it," the two Dwarves in front of me looked like two children caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
"Well dear Dansoa, seeing as you have seen through our plan, why don't you join us?" Kílí suggested. I raised my eyebrow.
"What do you mean?" I questioned.
"Well everyone expects us to gang up on them, but you, no they won't expect an Elf to be in on the game, we'll split the money three ways of course, so what do you say?" Fílí explained. I thought for a moment.
"Do you swear that you won't stab me in the back?" The two Dwarves nodded.
"Well firstly, who's going to win?" And that was the beginning of a glorious partnership.
Abi's POV
I'm scared. Fílí, Kílí and Dansoa have been talking quietly in a corner. Fílí and Kílí alone are enough, but with Dansoa too. We are dead, deceased, no longer living.
I decided to stay away from the trio for the evening. So I walked over to Bilbo.
"Hey Bilbo, how are you?" I asked. Bilbo looked at me.
"Oh I'm what's to be expected for sleeping on the ground for weeks, what about you?" He asked.
"Well at the moment I'm trying to steer clear of the trouble brewing over there in the form of two Dwarves and a girl," I stated. Bilbo laughed.
"I believe I'll join you in staying away from them, it does look rather suspicious, doesn't it?" I laughed with Bilbo.
"I guess they don't know how to be subtle," we chuckled some more.
"So do you know any good pranks?" I asked. Bilbo looked at me like I was crazy.
"You're asking a Baggins of Bag-end for pranks?" He asked skeptically.
"No I'm asking a half Took Baggins of Bag-end, who has decided to go on an adventure for pranks," I said with a laugh. after a moment Bilbo joined in my laughter.
"That does make more sense," he said with tears in his eyes.
"Well there was this one time, when I was younger mind you, that I decided that it was a good idea to prank my father, he didn't let me out of my room for a month and lectured me about it for months after that, but it was pretty ingenious if I do say so myself, firstly you need a victim, but if I'm correct you already have two, now you need a bucket and a lot of cold water," and that was how I found the perfect plan to get Dwalin and Kílí back. Who would know that Bilbo could be so ruthless. Dwalin and Kílí will rue the day that Bilbo came up with the ice bucket challenge.
