Two Moons

We're two moons, tied around the same planet

Different, yet similar

Bound together by the eternal geometry of intertwined orbits; A blazing binary in the infinite black of the night.

We're specks on the truly endless fabric of space-time.

But in this cozy corner of ours, we are bittersweet. Coming together, but not quite, only to be flung miles away in the most painful of ordeals.

Our epochs have melted into one.

Everything has. Everything that ever existed and that will ever exist is linked by it's very existence.

And yet, we are singular.

Just two moons,

Orbiting a lonely rock,

In the middle of nowhere,

Forever.
