I woke up, feeling groggy, which seemed to be the feeling that I was experiencing for the past couple of days. Sara had already left, so I had the apartment all to myself. Not that I had a problem when Sara was there. We got along fairly well and for the time that I had been staying at her apartment we had been slowly bonding with each other.

Today was finally Friday and I was relieved that I only had one class for the day, the rest of them had already ended since mid-semester exams were ongoing. All my exams were done and I was confident that I was going to pass all my subjects. My last introduction to plant pathology class was today, however there was no mid semester exams for this course, instead we had a project which would take the grade of the exam. Despite being distracted with the news that I had heard about Josie, I still managed to put it aside and concentrate on what was important. I still didn't know how to feel about the information, however the worry was still there. I had constantly called Stanley and Asha to ask if they had found out any more information, but to my dismay there was no sign of her, no new information. I tried my best to stop asking Asha about Josie every time we spoke because I knew Josie was not her favorite person, even though she didn't complain.

I got off the bed reluctantly and went into the bathroom to wash my face, I stared at my reflection in the mirror, passing my hand through my hair. I looked pretty miserable, I hadn't been keeping up much with the grooming myself aspect of it all. I didn't even have much time to do so, between school and trying to socialize and worrying, I didn't have the time. Maybe I would try to fix up myself for the party tonight. The mid semester party that I had no choice but to attend or else Sara would have killed me. Even when I explained to her that my history with parties were not the best she simply said that now was my time to change my outlook on parties. Apparently parties were not as I thought it was. I planned to keep a low profile, mingle with the people that I was accustomed too, don't drink too much alcohol, actually don't drink alcohol at all. Who was I kidding, I rolled my eyes, I would drink alcohol, the aim however was to get back home in one piece and not embarrass myself. I think my plan was simple enough, I just had to find the willpower to stick with it.

I left the bathroom and went back on the bed to check my phone. I opened a message from Alaric first.

Alaric: Want to hang?

Sophia: Aren't classes over? We don't have any more studying to do.

Alaric: lol, what are you even talking about Leah.

Sophia: I didn't realize that we had a study session scheduled for today.

Alaric: we don't.

So he was asking me to hang hang? I thought. Alaric and I had been spending a lot of time together, but that was mainly because of all the studying and then going for a bite to eat after. But this was the first time that he had asked me to hang outside of that, with the exception of the day I went to his house, but that was for food, that was different, wasn't it?

Sophia: Okay sure.

Alaric: Meet me in the parking lot in an hour.

I went to take a quick bath, then I realized that I didn't have any clean casual clothes at Sara's apartment. Since after the fight with Eleanor, I've been keeping a really low profile. I've been sleeping at Sara's place to avoid any sort of run in with this girl. I was on my last strike with the headmaster. I really didn't want to jeopardize any of that. When I needed something from the dorm, Hazel would be the one to get it for me. I looked at the time, shit I think she was in class at this moment. I didn't have a choice but to go myself, time was running out. I threw some clothes on then walked to my dorm. When I arrived thankfully she was nowhere to be found. I changed into something comfortable and cute, which in my definition was a short pant, a tank top and my jean jacket. I put a cap on my head to attempt coverage for the mess that was my hair and slipped on some sneakers. I checked the time and I had approximately 5 minutes to get to the parking lot.
