I heard a knock on my door and glanced at the time to see that it was 8pm sharp, Hazel was right on time. After calling Stanley, who was upset that I didn't call him as soon as I arrived, I proceeded to go through my clothes to try to find an outfit that was the best suited for the occasion. I had possibly tried on my whole wardrobe and not one had looked right. I was going to be making a first impression on Sara's friends, as it was often said, first impressions were lasting impressions. I wanted to look cool or at least seem cool and approachable, while some people could accomplish that with no effort, for me, however it wasn't that simple, at least in my mind it wasn't. I looked at myself in the mirror for the final time before I headed out, I had finally decided on wearing a simple casual, multi-coloured fitted dress and a brown sandal. My hair was up in a high pony tail and I accessorized with gold hoop earrings and a gold chain. This was a simple look, but I remembered that it was only a small party with Sara's circle as she said, so I wasn't required to do extra, I hoped. After a huge debate with myself about whether I should put makeup or not, I went with the latter. It was times like these that I would always miss Josie, although she was the worst friend, her fashion senses were undeniably the best.

I opened the door to see Hazel, also in a casual fitted dress but hers was grey, her jet-black , curly hair was let down, and she had on a little bit of makeup. I was extremely happy that I didn't decide to dress extra, that would have been embarrassing to say the least.

"Great minds think alike," She laughed as she referenced our outfits. "Ready?" I nodded as I grabbed my bag and left the room. "I didn't expect you to come," she said to me as we exited the building.

"Why?" I inquired. Did I seem that lame?

"Don't get me wrong but you seem like the shy type that doesn't socialize with anyone." She answered. "Correction, you seem like the under cover type."

"Undercover?" I asked. What did she mean by that.

"Like you are pretending like you are shy, but you really aren't," she stared at me. This girl was not afraid to speak her mind. "I could be wrong, but that's my opinion."  I mean she was right to a certain extent, with the things that I have done over the summer, and now coming here to 'start over' as innocent kind of made me come across as hypocritical. However no one knew about that, except for Eleanor and Taylour, they could potentially mess up everything for me.

"So much for starting over," I sighed.

"What are you running from?" she asked.

"Not running, just redirecting," I said

"So mysterious," she giggled. "So, did you meet your roommate?"

"To my dismay, yes," I said without hesitation.

"Dismay?" Hazel questioned. "Eleanor is such a sweetheart."

"So, I've heard," I rolled my eyes. "how long have you known Sara?" I asked trying to divert the conversation. The next time that I hear anyone call Eleanor or Taylour a sweetheart, I would go crazy.

"I just met her a month ago when I started," she giggled.

"And you seem to be so close with her?" I watched her awkwardly. How creepy.

"Sara is just an extremely friendly person." She answered.

"Doesn't it scare you to trust her just like that?" I asked.

"Nope," she shrugged. "She was the first person to make me feel welcomed here, so I see our friendship as a win-win."

"Okay then," I said quietly. Perhaps I made a bad decision by agreeing to attend this party with these people that I only met a couple of hours ago, but I was already on my way, so I just had to hope that it wasn't a bad choice.
